there are a few, certain songs that i ABSOLUTELY adore...they just sound SO good to me, SO much better than 99% of the stuff i hear and i wonder if the underlying beats or something are similar in all of them and that's why they appeal to me...is there a way to check? could that ever help me find other songs i would love? i'm an art person, i know nothing about music...is there any research or programs that investigate this kind of thing?

I have a poem in front of me--
THE COCONUT BOY

The coconut boy,
He's made of coconut shell,
He's stuck to a coconut tree,
He's filled with coconut milk,
What's the fun in that?
Poor coconut boy.

Since the Jews lived in Ancient Egypt for around 400 years, it would seem that the Egyptians would have some influence on them. Were the Ten Commandments created from Egyptian philosophies of that time?

I would think that we have only a fraction of the plays that were written, and I wonder what the history is of those that did survive. Is it possible that we'll discover more?

In black-and-white films in the forties and fifties, whenever there's a closeup shot of an actress, the edges are blurred ever so slightly, which creates sort of a glowing, almost dreamlike look. I'm guessing they do something different with the lighting as well. What is this technique called? Or does it even have a name?

And I'm sorry, but I can't seem to find any examples right now. If I find some, I'll add them in later.
