What is now perceived as God is an invention of the Churches as a method of population control and is no longer required as we are supposedly educated enough to rule our own lives.

Religion was invented by Man to make his own insignificance matter and explain what they could not then explain.

The existence of a "creation energy or life force' as a primitive god like presence is around us - the big bang happened and we all have souls which cannot exist without a living personality which cannot exist without a loving mind which cannot exist without a living body.. which cannot be created simply by adding the ingredients together indication a missing 'life force energy'

The church relies on dogma and doctrine over that which is writtenn in the holy books if it relied purely on what was writte it would be clear that telling us not to eat pork or shell fish was not a mortal sin but common sense until the refrigerator was invented. likewise not to spill ones seed (masturbate)or have sex with another man or animal was simply a guidebook on how to become pregnant. And Yet the church focuses on homosexuality while eating pork or prawn sandwiches!!

if we take Revelations literally on 144,000 Jews would be save and no-one else however Revelation is not in The Jewish Torah so it is of no use to anyone!

Believe in yourself and your own spirituality - man needs no doctrine or dogma from a church just the knowledge that doing it honest true and good id best. Religion is used by the Church as its last attempt to keep hold of the power it had over the masses

Religion is the opium of the masses. I don't believe that religion has anything to do with spirituality. It deals mostly with dogma. Dogmas is the ideology through which religion organises itself and controls its followers.

Spirituality is one's direct connection with the powers of the universe, that which organises nature, beauty and life. After having communed spiritually with this power, you feel released, moved, and inspired. You respect the way others worship, because worship is intimate and safe from the interference of others. It is yours alone, and it uplifts your soul.

Religion, on the other hand, is just a bunch of rules and regulations created by man to control the behaviour of the masses. It creates righteousness, intolerance and, in short, wars have been [and are being] waged because of religious dogma. Religions is really not good for spirituality, but is an excellent culture control vehicle.

Religion is the belief that there is a power or being greater than ourselves that created the Universe and everything in it. Descartes, the French philosopher summed up God in the sentence "God is that, which no greater can be conceived" and religion is based around the worship of this being. Of course Descartes was talking about the Abrahmic God of the Christian, Jewish and Moslem faiths, but it is more or less the same for other faiths. Although some religions have many more than one God, they usually have a Top God who is the one they worship the most.

It is a means by which civilisation could be allowed to progress beyond the animal way of life - Survival of the fittest- Only the strong to prevail.Religion gave the weaker elements to use the fear of the unknown to get some control over the Bully's! It also is the panacea used to explain the unexplainable to the masses to keep them from going insane. Education explodes the exploitation that develops from those who usurp the simple beliefs of the people in order to take and keep power.

Religion, in the technical sense, is a belief system practiced by a certain amount of followers.

From a Christian's viewpoint, religion is man trying to seek salvation through works or whatever. Christianity is God reaching down to save mankind from the fate of Hell.

religion is an agreement between peoples on a moral or live able code. as its generally of a higher value then people feel they can obtain they have given it a stern or father face to control or umpire it . over the years it has changed for example if you killed someone your life was forfeit unless you could pay blood money. the many changes of types of religion is where groups want alterations to the [norm] one reason it is failing now is larger groups of people cause more misunderstanding of acceptable behaviour, and failings in society. as usual you only get out what you put in

Religion is a way of life chosen by the Ultimate Creator, God Almighty for human beings and taught to us by His trustworthy and respected prophets (Peace be upon them). Religion teaches us how to live better FORVER i.e. even after this life. It has teachings for all aspects of life, individual and social, private as well as public, mental and spritual.

Religion is the belief in something that you know is impossible and cannot be explained. After a while it becomes a sort of internal control on your behaviour.
