Some of what I looked up to see about it sure looks like scams and from what I read, probably are.
Anyone have any experience on this?

You have the right outlook. Proceed with caution. At the same time, you want to be supportive if this is your daughter's serious dream. She may not remember later in life why she wanted to do this, but she will always remember whether you were there for her.

Take some poloroids yourself and submit them to top 3 of any list you find on the internet close to you. Ask for help, and wait for responses. Never pay for any pro pictures! Don't run around going to places either. Hi probability of being 'sold' by scammers that will never help you. Remember that your daughter deserves a normal childhood too!!

I would have her enter local events that you know are legit. There are modelling agencies. You can go and see them in person and they train young women for modelling.

When she's competing in the local events, you'll meet other parents whos daughters have the same interests and you can get info from them too.

Redbone and Silly Chick both have good suggestions. You need to do some research and legwork before selecting an Agency.
