I think it was something like "How The Wind Does Blow" or something like that, but I can't remember. It's loosely based on Gone With the Wind, but told from an African American perspective.

...tell you to quit your job and wait at home for him to bring you money. Keeping in mind that you have no doubt that the voice is God. Would you do it? How many months would you get behind in rent before you called it quits?

If you don't see auras, how do you imagine it would appear as a person leaves his body and the body dies? Do you suppose there are noticable changes in the aura days beforehand?

I've been rereading Sherlock Holmes and the books are in order. In "The Sign of Four" Watson meets his wife. In the next two collections of short stories Watson often refers to his wife. However, in the third collect "The Return of Sherlock Holmes" Watson tells us how Shelock escaped death at the hands of Dr. Moriarty, how he quits his medical practice, moved back in with Sherlock at Baker's St. and how he has weened Sherlock off of his drug habit. In other words he refers back to the past quite a bit. However, there is not one mention of his wife! What happened to her?

ok, my friends is white, and i am black, and I really dont want to go to a black college because I think that they stand standards really low for their students, and since I have not been in an entirely black school for a while, I hate that idea. Am I being racist?

On the off chance that you are not already happy, or may have moved on past happiness to something else, I ask you all...

When will you be happy?

What events great or small must occur for you to achieve happiness? Who must appear or disappear to make you smile? How much or how little will it take to give you what you want or need?

Here is your chance to put your wishes out there in the universe and see if they will come back to you as facts.

What does it take...?

Major symptoms of Rome's decline were (1) lack of production of hard goods, (2) transition to a service-based economy, (3) inability of political factions to compromise, (4) Roman citizens looking to the goverment for largesse, and (5) transition of the military to a volunteer-based army coupled with the use of mercenaries to maintain military strength. These same characteristics seem to be arising in the U.S. as the years go by.

The Blind Man and the Elephant
It was six men of Indostan
Who went to see the Elephant~(Though all of them were blind),
That each by observation~Might satisfy his mind.
The First approached the Elephant,
And happening to fall against his broad and sturdy side
"God bless me! but the Elephant ~ Is very like a wall!"
The Second, feeling of the tusk,
This Elephant ~ Is very like a spear!"
The Third approached the animal,
taking the trunk within his hands, and said
"The Elephant ~ Is very like a snake!"
The Fourth reached out a hand, and felt about the knee.
"'The Elephant ~ Is very like a tree!"
The Fifth touched the elephant.
This Elephant ~ Is very like a fan!"
The Sixth seizing on the tail ~ said, "Its very like a rope!

This story is supposed to teach us that truth is not abslolute and only a matter of perspective.
Problem- If the story is an abslolute truth, it openly refutes itself. If it is not absolute truth, then nothing of the story can be trusted.
Agree?
