On the off chance that you are not already happy, or may have moved on past happiness to something else, I ask you all...

When will you be happy?

What events great or small must occur for you to achieve happiness? Who must appear or disappear to make you smile? How much or how little will it take to give you what you want or need?

Here is your chance to put your wishes out there in the universe and see if they will come back to you as facts.

What does it take...?

Happy? That depends on what exactly you think of as happy.

The way you posed your question it seems to be about that kind of happiness which means that you've got all you need, just lean back and smile and be without desire. For a short time I'll feel like that when I push some heroine, as far as I can tell as I've never tried. Else, I will never ever feel like that. And that's good. I wouldn't want it to be any different.

If your question was meant a less philosophical way, then what makes me happy is new experiences. I'm always craving for something new, always a little bit more, a little bit better. When I manage to surpass myself, learn something new, see some new place, do something I've never done before, then I'm happy.

You might think that this way I'll never be truly happy, the way I explained it first, that this way I'm never going to be content with what I've got. Yeah, that's quite right. That's what I meant saying I'll never be happy. But seriously, who would want to? Desire is what's live's all about. To say it with Oscar Wilde (re-translated to english, so don't try to pin me down to the wording...) "A cigarette is the perfect example of a perfect treat: it's delicious but leaves you unsatisfied."

When I sit and take a good hard look at my life I know that the things that I need to change in order to make me happy will also cause other things to change that will make me even more unhappy. I am caught in a circle of my own mistakes that I could have gotten out of a few years ago had I known that I would feel so trapped now, but you never really know. What would it take? Really? A step back in time, say, anywhere in the last 5-10 years. If I could get a hold of my younger self and tell her what it's really like, I might have been able to convince her to run. As time travel is a slim possibility, I don't see how I can be happy. Ever. What really bites is, it's mostly my fault.

That's a cool nick name, I know the place and I know the name. Well why the heck not, I've never been one to shy away from the crossroads. I need the money now please ( I'll take the lot ), to get me out from under; and bring on wife number three ( maybe a redhead this time ) so we can start spending the the over ( a lot over ), thank you so very much. Say hey to Cardinal Odin for me, and thank you for the laugh.

My life is pretty good in most respects, so I don't need more people or another true love or any of that junk. What I do need, is some cash. I'm not a greedy man. Give me $100,000...and I'll be totally happy.

I am happy now! Or at least thats what I always tell myself. There is nothing outside of myself to make me unhappy, happiness comes from within.

happiness is ever changing. for me it early morning when the sun is just about to rise. that first cup of jo in the morning. it is hearing my children laugh. its a warm bubble bath in the evening. its the satisfaction of knowing that my family is doing well. happiness is finding that rare moment of time that you count your blessings for the things that you have.

When you quit nagging me about it. Johnny Carson always said he was plenty happy until someone would ask are you happy?

when I see everyone around me happy. When I can share happiness with everyone and they can share with me. When everyone laughs at all the sufferings and struggles because they know that they are not alone, everyone is ready to help them and they are ready to help everyone.
