22:59 you asked what time it was in military time which means you asked your own question. If you would like to know what time that is in standard time then its 10:59 but you didn't so its 22:59.

10:59 pm

In military time, the hours count up from 0 to 23.
12:00 am = 0000
1:00 am = 0100
11:00 am = 1100
12:00 pm = 1200
1:00 pm = 1300
2:00 pm = 1400
10:00 pm = 2200
11:00 pm = 2300

The minutes do not change. So anything above 12 (in the hours) means that it is pm, and you subtract 12 to find out what the "standard" hour would be. 22:59 = (22-12):59 pm = 10:59 pm

Military time is based on a 24 hour clock. Thus, 2200 hours is ten p.m. 59 refers to the minutes of the hours so the time is 10:59 p.m. civilian time, 2259 hours military time.

placing this question under "philosophy" kinda makes me think it's got a hidden meaning. But I see none. So, everyone's right. 10:59, because 22-12=10
