I've been a dancer for years and years and was never naturally flexible, i always had to work at it and most the time, nothing worked. i quit dance a while ago b/c of my frustration and i started to miss it really bad! i then had an accident with my back and tailbone and all my muscles just totally tightened up - back to square one - now i really want to get back into dance, but i am so unflexible that i cant even sit on the floor with my legs straight in front of me without pain!!!

Does anyone have any really good ideas for getting really flexible, fast, and easy?? I know you have to stretch a lot, its just so painful and i'm really tight!!! Help!!!

hey! my teacher says soon i can start pointe(i dont know how soon). the problem is she forgets a lot of stuff. im afraid shell keep on putting it off and i will never get to go en pointe. is there any way to tell her without actually talking to her about it? also, i want to take more classes of ballet, im currently taking twice a week. my parents are fine with money, but they still say it cost too much. how can i get my parents to let me take more classes? (ANYTHING ELSE ABOUT POINTE SHOES OR PREPARING FOR POINTE WOULD BE GREAT!)

I am already very clear on what my choice would be, just want to see how many people agree with my point of view.

Consider your answers carefully. Flippancy, in itself, provides ultimate indifference to the issue and thus is a rather boring 'no'. If you believe 'yes', I am also interested in 'the whys' of your belief.

I am legally disabled due to an auto accident I was in about 10 years ago and was not at fault. It's hard for most people to tell that I'm permanently disabled and my voice was NOT affected. I'm an excellent voice-over artist, if I may say so, and have been told by Emmy and Grammy award winning teachers; but they also are looking for money to get the demos done and put out there. However, I do not have the money to get into the industry and need a mentor and/or a sponsor who would be willing to bank ON ME and may even own a nearby studio where they would allow me to get on my feet, per say, in the Northern VA area (Fairfax County, VA, to be more specific). I'd even be willing to pay them back in the future. I'm a very good mimic, am creative for, say, animation, and have a great narrative voice. I've been "studying" and practicing for some 20 yrs and had quite a lot of time when I "was" bed ridden. I can get around, am willing to start in the hundreds/month and am easy to work with.

The other day I was thinking that philosophy is the art of thinking, but what is thinking good for? The chipmunks don't think like us but they seem to be doing fine. I mean all I do is waste time thinking about stupid stuff like this anyways. And everyone else wastes time thinking about what to watch on TV tonight.
