Blind ...because you would be much more isolated if you couldn't hear. Not many people speak sign language so it would be very hard to communicate with most of the world.

Deaf, no question!
Deaf people can do anything except hear. I mean, they can drive, can read/write, they can be completely independent people! Yes there is a communication barrier, but that can be fairly easily overcome with writing, gestures, lipreading, and interpreters. Blindness cause much more of a hassle in daily life...it isn't the end of the world, but still a lot more difficult! In the bigger scheme of things, simply wanting to be blind instead of deaf for something as superfluous as music doesn't make much sense!

I would rather be deaf because I really feel sorry for those who were born blind because they can't see all the good stuff in this world but then again, they can't see the bad stuff either.
And the bad part of being deaf is that you can't listen to music or anything good. You can only like see.

I would rather be deaf. Many people who are deaf don't even consider themselves to be disabled. Sign language seems to help out with a lot of communication issues. I don't think I could stand not being able to see people's faces. Their expressions. We'll be able to tell the weather, or have to take so much time reading were I blind.

I wrote a short tale about a man who died but remain incorruptible and awake in his grave, since he had all the time in the world to think he started to ask himself which sense he would miss the most and came to realize that it was the olfactory sense, since it was the only one he could use in a place where he was paralyzed, in pitch darkness, soundproofed and unable to taste diddly.
To me is like this: It all depends at what point you are in life
At this point in my life I rather go deaf, cause I have too much to see yet.

Deaf. Losing sight plunges the mind entirely inward, focusing too wholly on the self and the futility of trying to visualize the world once again.
Deafness, while certainly inconveniant--never hear my child's first words, never hear him tell me he hates me after he gets grounded--there would also be bitter times where I find it a blessing, like not having to listen to certain people in my life go blathering on and on and on, nor the noise in the street and the cell phone blathering.

I would choose to be blind. When I was younger, I lost my sight, and my hearing due to an auto accident. I gained them back, but not before I decided which I would rather have if I had to make the choice.
