I found it while digging around in the back of an equipment storage area along time ago and its been floating around my house as a knick-knack ever since.

The words "Santa Rosa" are etched on it in relief along with some roses that protrude outwards. From measurements, I'm guessing that it would've fit a 2" diameter hose. It looks fairly old, definitely not modern manufacture. Its not brass, but made from either some kind of iron, cast iron or soft steel.

Google and "Ask" haven't been able to offer me a decent clue. And I checked with the Santa Rosa, CA FD; they didn't have any ideas either.

Anyone here have any clues or ideads about this item? Or where I might go to find more detailed information out about it?

I'm wondering if it might be a collector's item, an antique or something.

I know, there are 276 other people here, all asking the same question with slight variations in words. Tired of all the other attention-hungry writers screaming "Look at me!"? Then skip this. I have two recitals today. I have to sing at one and then dance at another. I'm mostly scared about singing because this is my first time infront of ANYONE and it's at my teacher's house and the people are right infront of me in broad daylight. The dance one is one a stage where there are bright lights shining in our eyes and we can hardly see the audience anyway. BUt at dress rehersal my heart beats out of my chest anyway. Any tips?
