"Do you know who is richest Ma n of all time?" He is Soloman!!?
I read from a book, but forget its name. Its says that if you wanted to convert Solomon's gold, treasures, temple and everything he had, he would have been worth 5000 billions. Ten times richer than the present day Bill Gates. This is something to ponder about.

Our philosophy professor has issued a challenge: Prove that God, the philosophical God, not in its religious sense but in the God which is the uncreated creator or the uncaused cause does not exist?

In the Dialogue of Plato called "Meno" a boy was brought in to demonstrate this point, but I am not convinced it is true. Because the Thomistic Epistemology has a different answer to it also.

Shards of Splintered Change

I’m not willing to change,
I fear the change in the weather.
I know I’m getting older.
I look back on the days when I could see through the shards of glass,
Images of horror were once placed among my wall of memories.
I don’t want to grow up; I’ll never be able to fill anyone’s shoes.
People are afraid of the world outside,
It moves with the wind,
The rain clouds saturate the graves.
I fear change.
I don’t wish to see the manipulation, I’d like to watch people come together.
What would the world be like if everyone held hands?
How would that change the world?
I don’t want change; it forces us to confront the tattoos on the arm, the blood on our clothes, and the sex and violence.
Sex divides people, and yet it creates them.
The holy wars and the harsh judgments passed between women are unlikely to change the world.
Women are not the only cruel sex.
Fear; let me fear what I do not understand.
Let me fear alone.
Women are allowed to bleed because it is their nature to do so.
The blood of life is worshiped by those can understand the importance of nature and the womb of the female mother.
We all grow in the womb.
It is the birthplace of love, sex, violence, rage, guilt, and horror.
It is the birthplace of stones and polished crystals, dying children and poverty.
The womb creates the changes in the world, the changes that fear and the changes that melt the hot wax on our souls.
Change the way we teach our children.
Change the way we talk to each other.
Change the way he feed our elderly.
Change the way we write songs.
I am afraid of change, how can I help?
I am afraid to change the world, how can I sing?
I am afraid of what I do not keep locked within.

Is the building blocks of matter physical, reducible to something of substance? In what sense does something exist if it lacks substance? This already is very intriging, but even more so is the question if the existance of matter/ objective physical reality, can be proofed to exist independantly of conscious experience. All I can say is that I do or do not belief that physical reality exist independant of my or any other conscious beings experience. This isn,t science, which is empirical. The conscious experience of substance/ objective physical reality is a continual event. Substance exist as a construct of consciousness. The idea is real, but is this construct of reality the same as reality? How can we proof it? Is it possible to say that what scientist (or the rest of us) are doing is to investigate objective reality, or merely the experience of a reality that they belief to be real and objective? What is the nature of the physical? Is it real or is it mental? (Plato vs Aristotle)

I'm thinking of the Bush family's oil politics and their relationship with Saudis and Saddam prior to 1991. The War in Iraq seems like a war of revenge for 9/11 and for Saddam's embarassing (to his Amerian ally) invasion of Kuwait. He gassed the Kurds when he was our ally. Why didn't we impose sanctions on him in 1990? Why did we obstruct sanctions for the gassing of the Kurds? Did we understand his gassing of the Kurds was a revengeful decision? Did we empathize with it?
