religion while preaching the doctrines of tolerance and love also have inherent in itself violence and war... one can intrepret it any way he/she wants. if history has taught us one thing it is that religion and violence have co-existed for a very long time....buddhism you say?!. the civil war in sri lanka today have people justifying it as the 'sinhala buddhist nationalism'. the bushido warrior ethics of the samurai has its basis in zen buddhism. the history of tibet hasn't been peaceful in the past centuries either. don't get me wrong! religion is essentially good. but in order to legitimize it people use power (ie war, violence etc). what better example than the world we live in today.

religion and love is for common people because its very easy to get your self believing and to make love. war is where the maximum strength of a man is tested, its where he gains something.
