What do you say to someone who you are having a discussion about Christianity with and they have an entirely different beliefe than what you do? I was talking to a guy a few minutes ago and I could tell that he didn't know a lot about the Bible when he said "I'm reading the book of Moses "...and yet he had the nerve to tell me that the pastor I listen to "is completely out of it"..I acted as Godly as I could and changed the subject and got away from him.

I brought up this in the philosophy forum bc I judge this is a question about the essence of human being. Gay is an state of an essencial feature? ...

Gayness (or homossexuality) is different than "manness" or "womanness" because this two are basic premisses for being or not gay.

My point is: the ones who are gay (don't ask me what come to be "gay" 'cause this is self-evident) were born gays or were taught by the culture, local community, parents... to turn into it?

Ok? With no offenses I thank ya!

I watched this film and heard the story about the native Caribean people not being able to see Columbus' ships because they had no frame of reference, but they could see the waves emanating from the ships. Is this story true or is it simply an illustrative story?

i recently got adobe photoshop cs2, and its all greek to me!
lately i've taken up photography and photo editing as a hobby, and i want to make it a more serious interest for me.
i think i started out too advanced w/ cs2 w/o really knowing the basics of abode or photo editing.

so my question is what software/ free downloads (of adobe or anykind) would be ideal to give me a good basics foundation.
i jumped right into the hard stuff w/o learning teh beginners level yet.
so, what can i use???

thx,
brionna

What do you think the meaning of Robert Frost's poem Stopping by a Woods on a Snowy Evening? Or what do you get from this poem?
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

My first love
She was indeed a wild child
Always changing the color of her hair and switching up her style
Whenever I was with her I couldn't help but smile
When we would go out people would look at me funny
But I didn't mind, she was my honey
For the longest time she has been by my side
She knew everything about me
There was nothing I could hide
At first we were just messing around but eventually we became serious
We were together almost everyday
I had her in every way
She was never hesitant to try a new technique or toy
She was my lady
She did anything to bring me joy
All I had to do was call and she'd be ready
I loved her so much
I took her around the world
I have spent the bulk of my earnings just to be with that girl
I could never get enough of her or her intoxicating aroma
When I was with her all of my problems disappeared
And her absence was the only thing I feared
She lifted my spirits and made me feel like a king
With her I felt I could accomplish anything
Then there were the rough times
I shoulda got out then, but love made me blind
When I was broke she wanted nothing to do with me
I had to spit extra game just to skip the fee
Other times when i needed her she was nowhere to be found
I would call all around......
but nothing.
She was unfaithful, Sometimes I'd find her with strange dudes or even friends of mine
But i never tripped, as long as i got my time
I realize now, how unhealthy our relationship was
She clouded my head and made me act a foo
We would be laid up for hours, ignoring what I had to do
Always dressed to impress in her brown or white gown
She took me up and brought me down
I always thought i could leave her
But I guess I'm addicted
She f**ks with my head, she's twisted
I think its time to end this thang
My love affair with that girl, Mary Jane

Does anyone know where Anne Boleyn was born?
I was curious because it says her brother George was Lord Of ROchford, and wondered if she was born or raised in Rochford or the surrounding areas..
Thanks!

When the Cheshire Cat disappears (Through the Looking Glass, Alice in Wonderland, etc), what do you suppose is happening and why? Do you have literary citation evidence? Does he just become invisible or teleport or is he going off into another dimension? What's going on?
