I brought up this in the philosophy forum bc I judge this is a question about the essence of human being. Gay is an state of an essencial feature? ...

Gayness (or homossexuality) is different than "manness" or "womanness" because this two are basic premisses for being or not gay.

My point is: the ones who are gay (don't ask me what come to be "gay" 'cause this is self-evident) were born gays or were taught by the culture, local community, parents... to turn into it?

Ok? With no offenses I thank ya!

You imply that anything "acquired" is not natural. The question is flawed.

I acquire my first language and it is a natural process.

I acquire my personality, likes, dislikes through my life's histiry and experiences. How is this not natural?

Being homesexual is a sexual preference where ar being masculine or feminine are simply qualities we asign to people.

There are feminine men who are heterosexual.
There are masculin women who are heterosexual.

And any other combination you can come up with.

Also, notiond of femininity and masculinity are different in different cultures and times in history.

But if you are heterosexula or homosexual, this is the same in any place at any time.

If you mean by manness = male and womanness = female well than I still don't know what you mean because anybody can be homosexuual or heterosexual.

You can't make any arguments about people to try and prove that somethin is natural or not natural which I assume you are trying to imply "normal".

This line of thinking is grossly riddled with irrational presumptions about the meanings of words.

That which is acuired is not necessarily "unnnatural".

Absolutely the gayness is not natural.
Gay people always have been gay by the environmental and mental conditions. Some of them were weak at the childhood and not taken courage for the life, some directed to be a girl, some exposed to sexual harassment, some effected by the media, films and publications.
The most important thing that proves the gayness is artificial is that the sexual intercourse with anus concludes unnatural diseases which mostly can not be healed.

Those that say it is genetic are a load of crap. They have found that some people are predisposed to become gay, but many heterosexual people have those same characteristics (i.e. imbalances in the brain). The only difference is that the gay ones had made the choice to commit immoral acts, while the others lived with what makes them unique.

I used to think no one was born gay but I think most homosexuals are born gay and there is the potential to choose to be gay later in life, or to be straight later in life. I do think that if you are born gay that culture, local community, parents, etc. play a role is when the person realizes their sexual orientation.

I think it's natural, because there's some animals that are homosexual. Animals act primarily out of instinct, therefore some of them are instinctively homosexual and have presumably always been that way.

However, society affects when and how a person will come out of the closet. A lot of gay people try to fight their nature either because they believe it's wrong or because they know how others will treat them because of it. However, in a more accepting social environment they're more likely to be who they really are.

Being homosexual is a chemical imbalance in the brain. Bi-sexuality occurs when people believe that they are gay. They want to be gay, so the make up feelings for people of the same sex. Then, they have the real feelings for people of the opposite sex. So, they say, "Hey, i must be bi" when in fact, they are really just straight and confused. Homosexuality occurs in the chemicals in the brain

I don't know what u believe in. But me as 1 person. I have had some gay friends in my life. I think what they are doing is wrong and not natural the ways God has made us. But I would never judge them. I would pray for them and ask God to help them see what is true and right.

I don't think you can narrowly define human sexuality in those terms. While our predisposed sexuality is definitely a natural thing we can also make preferences/choices with whom we engage. We are the only animals that do not have s ex simply for procreation (i.e. mating) but also for pleasure. I think both nature and nurture exist when it comes to human sexuality. This is why our sexual organs and physical reponses can be bi-sexual since we are not just interested in mating.

I tend to think people become gay, and it's because of environmental factors like their upbringing, relationships with other peers, decisions that they make growing up, etc., etc. For instance, if you're a little boy who decides not to play any sports, plays more with girls, etc., etc. you're setting yourself up to be vulnerable to mean comments and becoming interested in gay stuff... won't mean you will for sure be gay but it's more likely

i think it's a bit of both, there are those who are just born different than the rest of us, and there are those to whom the aesthetics of the alternate lifestyle just appeals more than others.

whether or not there is flaw or anything else to it that is malevolent, it is not for any of us to judge. these are people, human beings, just like everybody else... they are entitled to every right, freedom, and opportunity as the rest of us...

they as a group of people, or demographic, show no outward malevolent desires, they seemingly want to live in peace and dignity. our country was founded on the principles of "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness"-"with freedom and justice for all". it is sad to me that this 'demographic' does not (in the eyes of the government) get to live free, or be treated justly, or even get justice for the crimes done against them. they are not allowed to pursue happiness to the degree that hetero people do. they are denied the full scope of liberty and dignity afforded to the hetero demographic... it's just sad and we as a country should be ashamed of the way we treat this valued and contributing resource of our nation.
