I don't know about any artwork from the time, but did you know that the "Ring around the Rosey, a pocket full of Posies (or Poseys, however you spell that)" song refers to the that time when the Bubonic plague was sweeping Europe?

The symptoms of the plague were a red ring (I guess kinda like a ring worm YUCK or something) showing up on someone's body. Hence the "Ring around the Rosey" part. "a Pocket full of Poseys" refers to people carrying around bunches of these "Poseys" (since there were very fragrant) and using them to counteract the smell of death everywhere. YUCK.

Anyway.. I just thought I'd share that =P

What do you mean? Do you mean artwork and music related to the era when bubonic plague existed, or do you mean art as in paintings of people with the plague?? LOL

Hieronymus Bosch lived in C15th and it is often thought that his paintings of the end of the world also represent what might have occurred in Europe during the plague years. My favorite is garden of earthly delights...........
