i'm leaving my dog and half a dozen fish for 2 weeks, i don't know whether i should ask someone to come and feed them every so - or get some close friends to take care of them.

Hello,

I am a twenty one year old male and having the most difficult time of learning to cook edible meals. Haha. :O). My problem this time around is getting lentils to cook properly. I can never seem to get them done. At a market quite far from my home I was happy to find some Urad Dal. These are split and say, "chilka" which I believe means with skin. They are still black on the outside. I tried to make Dal Makhani, which is a dish I like a lot, with these. I soaked these split dal over night. Then I boiled them on high, for 3.5 hours on the stove (in a normal pot) with turmeric, ginger and fennel seed. I did not add salt as I've read that this can cause some beans to toughen. The problem is that my dal remain "grainy"... they don't soften up. I have also had the same problem with split green peas in a attempt to make a green pea soup in a crockpot. I don't have a pressure cooker. Would that help? I have normal pots and pans and a slow cooker (small crockpot). Thanks. :).

okay iunno what i do wrong! i have alot of clothes i put them in the washer then the dryer and they always kinda shrink ALWAYS and my t-shirts with like sayings or graphics, the graphics shrink!
can someone help? and sometimes i dont put it in the dryer theres alota lint!

I just got her 3 days ago, and right when i brought her home, set her immediantly in her cage for 24 1/2 hours, without me picking her up, or putting my hands in her cage. Today, I've started to put my hand in the cage, and everytime i do, she ducks her head and runs away!? Or, sometimes, she will hide in a toy and i'll stick my head in front of the toys opening and she'll stick her head out, and smell my hand, the duck back in...:( This morning, when she was in some toy blocks hiding, I picked them up and set it on my lap while i was sitting on my bed, she came out and seemed excited and happy. (she didn't want to go back in her cage! :D) I've done that twice today, and she is still afraid of my hand?! [even if i try to pet her back she ducks, and runs away...] What should I do?

She's 6 or 8 months old. (is that a baby?)

My only rat. (another female on the way soon)

First time rat owner.

We’ve been though court and i now have soul custody. He has visitation every wed, and every other weekend. I was told that before i could get support he had to have a job and making over $8000 a yr. He's 17 (18 in April) has dropped out of school, and only has two credits. So because he is a failure he don’t have to support his child? He's stated that he will not give me child support, and i know as long as he lives with his mom he will never have to get a job. He’s also never had one that wasn’t under the table. I’m willing to go back to court. Is there any way i can get around this?
I’m trying to do the right things, I’ve tried reasoning with him. Since he don’t want to give me money with out a court order (and the only way he is making it is dealing drugs.. that’s a hole other story.)I’ve told him i would be happy with a pack of diapers, and outfit, even a Sippy cup! The only thing he has got his son in the 20 months he’s been living was 2 outfits.

My tennent has left (lease ended and they moved on) and my building is now vacant. I am pretty sure that I will have a new commercial tennent in a few months. I'm in talks with a few people and one is very likely to take it. But even if I end up waiting a long time I am unconcerned.

For the safety and security of the premises what should I do?

Is it wise to cover the windows up so passers by can't see everything inside?

Its in a well lit, downtown area. But I have seen people cover windows up before so I am curious to know if this is a good idea and an important thing to do.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 2005 toyota tacoma, i've always done maintenance on time. Lately it has been smoking from the exhaust, is a white type of smoke, and it does this everytime i turn it on for about the first 10 or 15 minutes. I plan to take it to the shop to have them take a look at it.Does anyone know what could be causing the white smoke.

So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what dad had said. Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him. He finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper. So the little boy goes to his parents' room and finds his mother sound asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room. Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed. The next morning, the little boy says to his father, "Dad, I think I Understand the concept of politics now." The father says, "Good son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about." The little boy replies, "Well, while Capitalism is screwing the Working Class, the Government is sound asleep, the People are being ignored and the Future is in deep ****."

I took my dad to the mall the other day to buy some new shoes. We
decided to grab a bite at the food court. I noticed he was watching a

teenager sitting next to him. The teenager had spiked hair in all
different colors: green, red, orange, and blue. My dad kept staring
at him. The teenager would look and find him staring every time.

When the teenager had enough, he sarcastically asked, 'What's the

Knowing my dad, I quickly swallowed my food so that I would not choke

Why do some people say Jesus "Suffered, died and was buried..on the third day he rose again in fulfillment of the scripture...he descended into hell????????? Are people at Catholic mas to purposely say that part wrong isnt it ascended into heaven, Jesus ascended into heaven he never descended into hell..why do some people say this?
