First of all is it smoke or steam? Now that weather is cooler, it may be cleaning out accumulated moisture, - which turns into a "cloud" quickly as it hits the cold air!!
Second how much oil does it use? If you are getting more than 800-1000 miles to the quart, you can probably "ingnore it"! You didn't mention mileage on engine, -- if it has more than 150 - 200K miles on it, - it may just be passing a little oil off the cylinders when it is started! Check to see that your PCV valve is good!
If oil use is not terrible, and you don't like the smoke (if burning oil)-- put in synthetic oil next time,-- (synthetic doesn't burn), - this is an old car dealers trick for "smokers"-- remember not all car dealers are honest!! End result will be that several drops of oil will drip out exhausrt pipe as you go down the road, - no mess, - no smoke to put up with!
If smoke is from worn rings (or not properly seating), -- or from bad stem(&valve) seals on valves, - it will also smoke after going downhill for a little while under compression, - when you step on the gas again, you will get a cloud of smoke coming out for a little while, - or in very light cases just one "puff" of smoke before it clears out! This is because the increased vaccuum from engine running "fast" without throttle pushed down, - makes it suck a lot of oil through if seals or rings not real good!

White smoke on startup could indicate a bad head gasket or cracked cylinder head leaking coolant into the cylinder when the car is not running. I doubt this is the cause though as there would need to be a significant amount of coolant leakage for it to smoke for over 10 minutes. You would notice very rough running on start up as the coolant has made the spark plugs wet and it takes awhile for them to dry out. You would also notice coolant consumption. Check the overflow container and note the level over the course of a few weeks. Check it when the engine is cold. If the outside air is cold when you start it up that could be the cause. It is most likely condensation burning off from inside the exhaust system. It takes a few minutes for the engine, catalytic converter and the exhaust system to heat up. If no coolant loss is noticed, you likely have nothing to worry about.

if its a head gasket problem the smoke would have a verry distinct oder(sweet) i didnt catch u-r location,,is it cold?
warm exhaust flowing thru a cold exhaust can cause some smokeing issues that go away with a warmed up pipe,, a head gasket issue may also get worse with heat as the cooling system builds pressure until water floods the cylender
out and the engine will start to miss on the affected cylender
u also didnt mention any driveability issues(lacks power)
keep a check for milky/white oil and coolant loss
good luck!

White smoke is generally water. (You can sometimes check by giving it a sniff with your own sniffer.)
The motor heats up, and different components have different coefficients of expansion. Sounds like *maybe* there's a leak of water going into the combustion chamber until after it warms up, then the leak seals itself.
The first thing that comes to mind is a warped head. This diagnosis is impossible online. You'll need to find a good diagnostic shop. It'll cost you a bit because the good ones aren't cheap. But you'll know what's wrong and can then make a decision that's best for you.

It sounds like your choke is sticking on when you first start up. If you can get a whiff of the exhaust as it smokes it should tell you for sure. If it smells strongly of fuel, this would most likely be the problem. Chokes are usually regulated by sensors these days, have the service guys throw it on the computer to pinpoint the issue.

Sounds like your head gasket, don't know why it would go out on that new of a truck but thats what it sounds like. especially if it billows out in great white clouds of smoke then yeah that's probably what it is

sounds like your getting water in your oil,bad head gasket, water jacket.could be just condensation in cold weather burning off.get some engine restore oil additive and try it.

condensation? if your not loosing coolant, it's just steam condensing in muffler then burning/boiling away.oil burns bluish and gas in excess burns black.
