I don't know what's going on. I know that Ph.D. history programs are competitive but am I really out of my league? I have a 3.8 from Champaign, I graduated in 3 years, I'm a James Scholar and I worked for a year as a writer for a dot com. My GRE wasn't amazing but it was pretty good (I think): Verbal 580 Quant 640 Writing 4.5. I was rejected from Champaign/UWisc/UIC/Notre Dame/University of Chicago/Northwestern and when I reapplied this year, again to Champaign (my school!). I'm starting to think I'm doing something very wrong or that my professors wrote bad recommendations. Am I really out of my league? What kind of schools should I be applying to? I'm getting really discouraged.

I'm interested to know of a couple. I feel like society doesnt care about the music anymore, its about the physical appearance of the musician........although I doubt you can call a lot of the people today musicians. Everything seems to be about age. Who are some musicians that finished colleged before becoming famous? Does anybody know how old Freddie Mercury was when he got signed? I thought he completed a degree in graphic arts or something along those lines. ...I'm just interested to know.

I'm looking for any place within 30 miles of New Holstein WI to host my wedding reception. We're having just over 200 guests and I would like it to be nice, but not overly expensive. Fond du Lac, Appleton, Sheboygan, Kiel, Chilton, New Holstein, and anywhere in or near those towns will work great!

hello there Im looking for some possible answer to this, my bike is an old bike and I want to ride my bike again. last week I clean the carburators piece by piece, I put new gasoline new hoses, the engine crank but it won't start some time make a explosion but nothing else. Do you know what else I can check to make this bike run again. The bike has electronic start.

Ok, I drove past this girl who was standing on the sidewalk. She was on her phone and she and I made eye contact for several seconds until I passed. I knew something was there. She was all right. Anyway, because of the eye contact I turned my car around and drove back past her. She seemed like 17 or 18 and I am around the same age. Anyway, thinking of what Will Smith would do, I shouted out of my car door window, "Hey baby! Can I have ur number?" She just had this sort of shocked look on her face and turned around and walked away a little bit. What did I do wrong? I know this is what Will Smith would have done? I think I looked fine. I know she seemed to have been giving me eye contact.
