I would say yes -but if you are close at all or have family that is close, you might just ask to see if they are offended. I know a family from my church. They have 9 kids, the brother of the father of this family has a bunch of kids too, he ended up giving the same name as kid number two from his brothers family to like his tenth kid - so there were two people with the same name (first and last) from the same extended family - did that make sense?

Well, there is a saying " Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery." In other words, you would be saying , " I really like your choice of names!" to the cousin's parents.
I dont know how your child would feel about playing second fiddle, so to speak, but there's nothing that says you cant do it.
On the other hand,I have heard that traditional Jewish people have a rule: ' Do not name your child after a living relative.' They must have had a good reason for that.

Definitely! I plan on naming my daughter the same thing my cousin named her daughter. Thats just the way things go. The only problem I would have is giving my grandma two great grandaughters with the same name. however since my grandma is passed thats not an issue. Good Luck

Yes, some families get to be so big that it seems you need to start using names over. Or choose something that's really far out. And if it's a name you really like, use it.

Should be unless they are sensitive. It's too hard to keep track of all the names of all the distant cousins. My rule is that it couldn't be the same name as any of the aunts, uncles, cousins or cousins kids.
I guess to avoid any potential conflict you might consider choosing something else, but it's probably fine.

It depends. Is it the same first AND last name? I wouldn't do that, since it could cause legal issues in the future, but if it's just the first name that would be the same, and you really don't communicate with them alot, then it should be fine.

I wouldn't. Even though you don't see them much, it could still cause a conflict. Maybe use the same first name and use a different middle name. Good luck!
