Actually, i believe that a light year is the dist travelled by light in 1 yr.. right?
this means that the dist. of 9500000000000 km !!

ok.. i accept this too.. Then there is a big question that arises..

The distance between our earth and the neighboring star (not sun) is say, 10 light years .. This means that the light took 10 yrs to reach earth from that star. So what we see in the sky is not the planets or stars to be actually present there NOW.. in this case, the star must been there 10 yrs back.. presently we wudnt know where it is..

is this right?

I over heard a doctor saying that young people ( I think he meant 40 and younger) will immediately ask for pain meds, all the time. They seem to relish in their sickness and don't try to get up and go (within reason). He then said that older people (40 and up) don't really like to take pain meds, and are ready to go (within reason) they try harder.

So do you think that younger people just want a quick fix, and refuse to deal with pain and would rather have pain meds even though addiction is a high risk?

Or is that doctor full of bull?

Won't you be so relieved when you no longer have to make any critical spending decisions for yourself??? Aren't we so fortunate to have a government that knows what's best for us?

I mean, it takes a load off my shoulders to know that in a few short years, the government will tell me exactly what lightbulbs and water heaters I can and can't have in my house. I just hate being bothered with those decisions.

Hell, in two or three short years, I won't even have to decide which doctor I want to go to.

Oh, and I'm sure that by 2020 or so, they will get to pick what kind of car I drive! Oh I just can't wait!!!!!! This will give me so much more time to play video games and be lazy and...

Holy Cow I forgot!!!! I won't even have to have a job because then I'll have free healthcare and welfare is going to be so much better too!
