Men are more jealous by nature imho. It's a territorial thing. "This lady is mine, and don't come near her, or else!" - for example.

Women are more cunning because they have had to use their minds creatively - because physical strength, which is needed in certain situations, is less dominant in a a woman.

On the surface we would say women, but I am not sure this is the case. Don't know if it has even been researched.

Right off the bat I would say women, but I'm not sure if that's so true.

Maybe women don't hide it as much as men do. Women will usually be fairly obvious with their envy, but men cover it up with machismo.
