I have made the decision to homeschool my 5 year old. He is currently in public school and is having a lot of problems. After several meetings, I see that the school is basically telling me that my son is dumb. Well, I know that is not the case. I was even told by his preschool teacher that this would happen. She adviced that I do not put him in public school because he would get lost in the system because of his speech. She suggested that I find a school that would cater to children that learn better through more practical ways such as hands on, music, etc.. Well, I have not been able to find a school like that. I have decided that homeschooling would be best for him. I can't leave him in a school that feels he would benefit from having a cardboard box around him to keep him from looking at classmates for guidance. I am wondering if I should pull him out of kindergarten now since things are going so bad or should i wait until he graduates and start fresh on 1st grade?

Why do you think that German Shepherds, Dobermans, etc. are for experts only? How do you know if you're already an expert and can have those kind of breeds?

Remember what Jesus said to his followers after he was resurrected !

Matthew 28:18,19, And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth. 19Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.
Revelation 1:5, . . . Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.
Revelation 2:26-27, To anyone who proves victorious, and keeps working for me until the end, I will give the authority over the nations 27which I myself have been given by my Father, to rule them with an iron sceptre and shatter them like so many pots. (NJB)
Revelation 3:21, He that overcometh, I will give to him to sit down with me in my throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father in his throne. (ASV)

Ok, so I have an ancient disk containing the first Age of Empires. The problem is, it's all rusty and scratched. So, like I did with my copy of Tomb Raider II, I'm trying to put it on a new CD.

However, the trouble is, with a few files, even after reinserting the disk and repeated attempts, it keeps giving the error message that it could not read the source file or source disk.

Now, does this mean the file is irreperably damaged? If not, how would I get it to work? The odd thing is, for some of the sounds it can't copy, I CAN play them on the computer.

I don't want to have to constantly buy bottled water because it's purified. I have plenty of water from my sink but is there a way I can completely get rid of the chlorine and other chemicals and pesticides in it. I need something that's easy and I can do at home. Without a filter or purification system. How can I completely rid the tap water from chlorine, chemicals, and other unneccesary things.

For Christmas, I'm giving my daddy a mixed CD of songs. I want all the songs to be about being a "Daddy's Girl". What are some Daddy's Girl songs I could put on the CD? He likes gospel music and country music.

My husband and I have been married for slightly over a year, and he has completly changed since we got married. He used to be really caring, always thinking of me, taking care of me when I am sick, helping me out with stuff around the house, always complimenting me to help me feel good. I have recently gotten sick to where I cant work, so I am staying at home, and I do all the work at home, I occasionally ask him for just a littly help if im having a really bad pain day and he gets nasty yelling at me telling me i just sit at home all day and he works i can do it. So he dont help at all or take care of me, I just got out of the hospital after being in there for 10 days he didnt want to visit me when he was there he was complaining and starting fights the entire time. Then he would complain all week he is tired because he had to spend time with me at the hospital. He really has been rude to me a lot and making me feel like crap, if i say something about it he says im over react

George Orwell showed us how freedom can be slavery. The other day I saw a definition of freedom that is “when you have nothing left to loose”. What do you think? How do you define freedom? Why?

You know some people say,
when you die you go to heven or hell.
And
When your dead that's it.
And
when you die you become a ghost...

How can the first and third on be true..?

i mean. when a flower dies, does it go to heven or hell depending on how many bee's pollenated it. Or become a ghost?

When everything dies.. does it go to heven?

I think the divorce rate lends to the fact that marriages should have an expiration date. I don't think most people are honest with the length of committment they are capable of. I think that the few people who are capable of the really long term committments are the only ones who should have kids. It's probably an unpopular opinion, but I think it's right.
