The Nitrogen, Phosphous and Potasium compounds in in your fertilizer are all white. Most lawn fertilizer is colored, usually green so it doesn't show on the lawn when it is appilied.
Edit: Could the person who gave me thumbs down please explain why. Or are you the one who seems to be following my answers and doing this on a regular basis?

Scotts is all in one partical, which provides your lawn with an even feeding. As far as the simple mix, I'm not sure which is which. Good Luck!

ammonium nitrate is usually white. The others I couldn't tell you.
