I have a 29 gal aquarium. I would like to purchase a co2 injector and add some plants. My main purpose is to lower my pH (currently it is 8.4 with a Kh of 300+!) and to add interest to my aquarium. Currently I have 2 neon blue Gourami's, 6 bloodfin tetra, 1 spotted catfish and one striped rafael catfish. I want to lower the ph so I can have angelfish as well. Yes, I know the tetra may get eaten, but I want to give them plenty of hiding places before adding the angel fish. Currently I have epoxy coated rock at the bottom of my tank. I have read this is not a suitable substrate for aquarium plants. So how do I change the substrate on the aquarium without stressing the fish I own? Can I layer over the rock?

I am 28. Just got married. My oldest sister is 37 and we've always been close. She did not want to be in my wedding because she claims she "couldn't afford it", although I would've paid for her things and not expect that she spend anything. IMHO I believe it is because she spends her life not wanting to commit to anything and avoiding any sort of "obligated" responsibility. Fast forward to the wedding - she stayed for the ceremony, and then left right at the beginning of the reception because her 5 year old son was "acting up". Since she's had her son, she has avoided functions/gatherings because he is "cranky". One year she didn't even show up to Thanksgiving dinner (in the same city) because her son was "acting cranky". Her son DOES seem to act much younger behaviorally than his age, but she refuses to seek any professional opinion & just plans her life around whether or not he's going to throw a tantrum. This is nothing new to my family. But since the wedding I've had sour feelings.

This has been bugging me for months... I need someone to tell me that I'm not going crazy. To make this post short, I will use numbers:

1. Someone I really care about is dying. I can't seem to accept it, and I always put it out of my mind and live my life normally, such as having fun and having a social life. Sometimes I forget about it altogether...
2. When my grandma had a stroke, I failed to show emotion or be upset. I was about 9 years old when it happened. When we were at the hospital, I was more worried about just getting home.
3. My grandma also had a heart attack a couple of years ago, and when I was told, I failed to bring myself to feel any pain. Of course I care about her, but it felt like I didn't.

Does that make me cold and inhuman? More than anything, I want to show more of a reaction, but I'm so numb. I tend to carry on with life as normal, but it's not the way it should be.

Just wondering if this is normal or not. This is my second pregnany, my first ended in miscarriage at 9 1/2 wks. I am feeling the way I do right before I start my period. Not cramping or aching no bleeding...but I can tell i have a uterus. I know this sounds strange but it is the only way I can describe it. My other symptoms are my boobs feel as though they could get tender...Is this normal for 4 weeks??? I don't know what is normal because my last pregnancy the only symptoms that I had was frequent urination. Thanks for the help!

I define "haram" like this...
Haram is something that...
1.makes you forget about Allah,
2.takes you away from his path,
3.makes you forget about the real life(hereafter)
4.makes you feel that this worldly life is so beautiful

Allah said in The Quran " i only created Jinn and man to worship me"
so, i believe things like " love"(attraction to the opposite gender) is haram too(including loving your own wife/husband).Because it wil never benifit me in the hereafter,since its not a form of worship.And it makes you forget about Allah and hereafter.Noone is worthy of getting more attention then Allah!

However, the average temperature this decade has been 14.531 deg. C. The average temperature in the 1990s was 14.3206 deg. C. The average temperature in the 1980s was 14.1685 deg. C. Not only is this decade warmer than the 90s (by 0.21 deg. C), but it's a bigger difference than the warming from the 80s to the 90s (0.152 deg. C).
