Freeware, as the name suggests, is free and doesn't cost anything.
When you install shareware, there is normally a time period after which the program will only run with limited functionality / won't run at all / will start blending annoying adverts in / will take a long time to start / will generally annoy or badger you into buying the full version.
Sometimes there is even a clause in the small print which states that if you don't unregister the software after the free trial period has run out, then you are liable for the cost of the program.
I generally tend to avoid shareware and go for freeware or open-source programs.

Shareware is usually free for a limited period of time or a certain number of usages. Freeware is just free, period.

shareware is software that is shared with you by the owner. then u have to buy it. freeware is free.

Freeware is free. Shareware is where donations to help with the program development are appreciated but not required.
