Iv'e only been taking amitriptyline for a week now, however it's making me very tired, groggy, moody, dizzy etc.

Im 15 and an insomniac with manic depression (bipolar), and my doc tld me to take 25mg a nite to help me sleep etc.
However, iv'e noticed quite a few changes in myself;
- im tired constantly, and i fall asleep in class.
- During class, if there is noise it makes me 'trip out' and also 'phase out'
- i'm finding consentrating much harder than ever before
-i keep forgetting things
- when i stand up i have to sit back down because i feel dizzy
- my appetite has largely increased.
plus many other things...

Just wondering if anyone knew if these are normal side effects, or if there is something else that may be triggering the symptoms. Also how much is safe to take?...if someone accidently takes more than they are supposed to, how much of amitriptyline would be fatal to a human??

cheers

Works
We do those things because we love the Lord, not to be saved.

Ephesians 2 explains it clearly. Works are not to be saved. Works are God working through us.

Well Catholics believe the same thing so are they not saved

I've had a lot of dogs - used to breed, actually - and have had everything from Icelandic Sheepdogs to German Shepherds to Tibetan Spaniels to Border Collies, etc.

I honestly have to say the best one's I've had - in terms of just "living a peaceful life" have got to be a Shih Tzu and Golden Retrievers, and if I had to pick between the two, I think I'd actually go for the Shih Tzu.

We currently have five dogs, including a hound mix. We love him so much, but he's really a pain to manage. The Rottweiller/Shepherd mix is probably the best dog (he's a "dog's dog", but he's very intimidating to strangers. Overall, as stupid as it seems, I think I like the Shih Tzu best.

I have had a Golden, and would go for that too. I also used to have a scottish sheepdog, but it was a car chaser (and a car caught him) - lots others too. They all have their bright spots, but for overall compatability, I'm saying Shih Tzu, or maybe Golden R.

I love him completely and his size is not an issue. My concern is his health! He refuses to see a doctor and has no good excuse as to why he is afraid to go. He's overweight, sneaks food (especially candy), over eats, has high blood pressure (not on meds), snores, sleep apneia, a mouth breather when awake and always seems to have labored breath.

I am trying to convince him to go to the doctor and he makes a joke of it or tries to change the subject. It breaks my heart that he doesn't see the seriousness in his condition an only FEEDS his problem. I have even gone to lengths of telling him that he is giving himself a death sentence in continuing to live in the manner in which he does and have told them that he is a walking time bomb. I have tried to be compassionate since I know overeating can be an addiction and very difficult to battle. Still it has been months and he still refuses to see a doc.

Please be nice...God don't like ugly!

I was just wondering how many people take their shoes off when they go to the library. Do you leave them on, take them off when your sitting down, or do you kick them off and walk around without them?
