Report, report, report

"Mrs. Arbethnott, Bill Neely pushed me against a wall and threatened to beat me up if I didn't give my lunch money to him."

You tell ever adult on campus, you tell your parents, so they can go to the district office to get something done. If necessary, take it to the papers and shame the district into taking action.

remember, sufering in silence works for the bully.

I wish more people were concerned with this issue. Bullying is NOT taken as seriously as it should be. It isn't kids will be kids. We are talking about the future leaders of our society, and potentially the lack thereof. Have you ever thought that there would be news reports in your lifetime that would tell of suicides being the result of a child being bullied, or school shootings that were a direct result of a child being pushed until they felt there was no other way out? The question should be, how do we make this a more important issue/.....

If my child were being bullied I would first notify the teacher(s) and then the principal. Send a letter or email stating your concern wtih your child. It's better to ahve these thigns in writing for future reference. Be as detailed as possible. then request a follow-up phone call or meeting. Make sure that your child's teachers and principal know that you mean business - it's going to stop! Ask them how they plan to resolve these issues. Ask them how they plan to protect yoru child. No parent shoudl ever have to worry about their chiildren's wellbeing.

To everyone who says man up...sounds like a nice idea if life were like a movie. But sometimes you man up and it makes things worse.

Think of bullies as wild animals. ie, don't get emotionally involved in the bullying, don't take it personal. You wouldn't take it personal if a rabid dog was threatening you, you'd just get the heck out of its way.

unsuccessful cultures have always bullied what they perceive to be potentially successful people. we resent success because of the way in business we categorically succeed at the demise of each other. i believe it is as a result of stone age government methodology i.e divide and conqure. people believed they were upper class, middle class and lower class also nature won't let us stand still to be succeeded at the demise of. most legislation is related to economics and that keeps govenments economically strong.
to stop your self from being bullied either communicate or if the need provails itself run. allways better to communicate though. act subservent if you carnt run give your pocket money to the bullies but make sure you dont quit your course.

laugh at the bully, find a way to react so that the bully feels he is making a ridiculous scene... the kid has to have a lot of self confidence to react like that... but it is a very good response

go straight to someone they can trust and then that person can help the victim and give them advice. Even if they feel like bullying back, dont. because itll only make matters worse.

i would say that the way they should resolve it is by first finding a way to get them together in a room by themselves and have them talk it out if not to work get parents involved.

if people are being bullied
they need to speak to some one they can rely on
so they can keep and eye on it and control it
also they need to learn to stand up for themself
not let others walk all over them
