Since powerful lobbyist who represent the people who manufacture war weapons have billions of dollars to buy the President, Senators and Representatives, would it not be better to require the Governors of each state to vote on when and where to go to war? Does it not seem apparent that both the Democrats or Republicans in Washington are totally powerless to stop the war in Iraq because of someone more powerful than they are? It is now clear that the war was started based on lies but yet no one is talking about impeachment. Are they all dirty and owned by the large corporations and defense contractors? If we had a draft, there would be riots and protest all over America but since the young men are offered large sums of money to go to war (mercenaries), the defense contractors get richer and richer from death, maiming, and destruction. The Vice President's "former" buisness associates are making billions on this war. Are my statements true?

I see them trading it away. The Patriots are built on the philosophy of having more good players than a few superstars. I see them trading to get two or three good players instead of one great player.

Thoughts?

In your personal opinion,
What do you think will happen if we (elected a democrate president) who wants to pull out of Iraq?
It seems a lot of people on here want to get out of Iraq. Which financially makes alot of sense, but as far as our safety is concerned how are dems going to react when the war comes here (if it does)?

Thanks for your answers.

Electric blanket OR digital camera?

My SIL is 5 months pregnant. She mentioned that she wanted an electric blanket for Christmas, but I thought it would be nice to get her a digital camera. She doesn't even own a camera right now and I KNOW she'll definitely want one once the baby is here. So... as an expecting mom... which gift would YOU get the most use out of?

i don't get offended unless i know for certain someone is trying to be offensive. i am tired of getting all these uber-Christian greeting cards from my folks year after year...they know i don't believe what they do, yet each year they ramp up the religiosity of their mail. i am dead serious, every year they get me "worship Jesus" cards...so i intend to give cards intended to equally annoy this year.

the speakers are located on the monitor. Audio files play, but there's no sound coming out. The problem is not with the mute button, or low volume. The wires work fine too (tried on another computer). The problem isn't with the actual inbuilt speakers, because they play music from my laptop, when connected to it. I've plugged in earphones to both the screen "headphones" section and the actual soundcard, but nothing happens, just get static from the screen and nothing from the soundcard.

i haven't yet opened up my computer to check the actual soundcard. is this the next step? loose connection? or is there something i've missed?

i've been cutting myself for 5yrs, should i be truthful and tick yes? i really don't want them to know, it won't affect my work. i'm worried they'll make me have a health assessment and i don't want to have to discuss my reasons for it.
i want to tick no, but i'm worried they'll access my medical records and discover i lied.

what should i do?

How do identity thieves get away with what they do, assuming that they do not leave the country?
Example: a person signs up for a credit acct in someone elses name. They order a package online. Obviously, they have to have the package shipped somewhere if the thief wants to collect the package. Cant the police just trace where the package went to and question the house owner, or is it not that simple?

How can People seriously say the President hates children, it's scary that there are people that don't see facts and only hear what they want to.

Before the ignorant people make more ignorant comments I'm NOT saying don't vote Democrat, I'm saying find out what you're talking about before speaking. That is the problem there are too many people voting on emotion rather than the facts.

Did you know that bill the President Vetoed had things attached to it that weren't involved with childrens's healthcare?

Dems in congress do this on purpose if it passes they get something out of it, if not they can exploit these kids to use it against the president. So Congress who are pretending to help kids only to get something out of it are the real bad guys.

all I'm saying is don't just side with someone because they are part of your political party, I don't side with everyone in my party, in fact I haven't found a presidential candidate I'm willing to back. I say find out facts first.
