Yes. it would certainly get rid of many immature "Am I----" questions.

I don't think so. There are some adult contents and mature topics that can be accessed, but this isn't really a threat.
"Please be aware that Yahoo! has created certain areas on the Service that contain adult or mature content. You must be at least 18 years of age to access and view such areas."
So Yahoo does have some areas, but they're not accesible to children under the age of 18.

The categories are so broad that one could benefit from Y/A being under the age of 18. I think the allowable age here is 13 now.

No!
I'm not 18.
That doesn't mean that you should DISCRIMINATE against ages!
I have stuff to offer that some people way older would never have thought of.
I'm more mature than most guys in there 20's.
It's not age that matters, it's the specific people, so don't take out a whole age group, and generalize us.

No, some kids need other kids help. There are many on here who post questions who are not 18 and they would benefit from another teenagers answer.

Sometimes I think I'd settle for a minimum IQ of 18.

That rule is unenforceable, judging by some of the questions posed on Yahoo answers.

I think 16 +, but there'd be no way to check that. Oh well.
