I know nothing about his personal politics, but I do agree that naturalized citizens should be allowed to run for president.

You know they put rules like the minimum age and the fact you have to be a born citizen to become president for a reason.

If you remove something like that, not saying Arnold is the one by any means but somewhere down the line someone is going to bite you for being so open towards people.

Swarzenegger actually surprised me with his political abilities, and having married into the Kennedy clan, certainly didn't hurt.

But president...?

It might not be a bad thing to roll back the amendment stating that people must be US-born to qualify as a legal candidate...

But president...?

We had one bad actor as a president already (yeah, and I voted for him twice so shaddap!)...

But president...?

What the hell, why not. He couldn't do any worse than the clowns we have in there now. Maybe he'd get Jesse Ventura as his VP...anyone who doesn't fall into line gets bodyslammed.

Yeah, I'd love to have Conan the Barbarian as pres!!! And I agree with Global Worming. No one should have to suffer with worms. And he could annihilate Al Qaeda with one slash of his broadsword! Hot cha-cha!

We might like him, but if we changed the law for him, it would open the door for anyone else from another country to run too, who might not have America's best interests at heart.

He legally can not run for president so no, he shouldn't be allowed. A president has to be born on American soil, whether that be physically in the states or in a foreign embassy or military compound.

He should be allowed.

He has the people's support, he could easily win, and probably do a good job in there too. We shouldn't hold it against him that his parents were not in America at the time of his birth...
