How can People seriously say the President hates children, it's scary that there are people that don't see facts and only hear what they want to.

Before the ignorant people make more ignorant comments I'm NOT saying don't vote Democrat, I'm saying find out what you're talking about before speaking. That is the problem there are too many people voting on emotion rather than the facts.

Did you know that bill the President Vetoed had things attached to it that weren't involved with childrens's healthcare?

Dems in congress do this on purpose if it passes they get something out of it, if not they can exploit these kids to use it against the president. So Congress who are pretending to help kids only to get something out of it are the real bad guys.

all I'm saying is don't just side with someone because they are part of your political party, I don't side with everyone in my party, in fact I haven't found a presidential candidate I'm willing to back. I say find out facts first.

Very well worded. Now i doubt if many are going to agree with you since this is a forum of so many that love to disagree. best of answers. Remember, Everyone has their own opinion, and beliefs whether they are founded on a concrete foundation or it is just what they have pulled out of it and choose to pick out the positive/negative. I say, "Can't we all just get Along?"

I agree and disagree, as usual.

I seriously think that Bush can't win at this point. We are very close to the primaries now and if he walked on water to Iraq pulled Osama out of the cave with his own two hands, came back and donated his entire fortune to those in need of healthcare, ending it with a "Gas Cap", "Insurance Assurance Policy" and a completely free healthcare system, someone would still say "Who paid for those shoes he walked on water with??"
It doesn't really matter what he does at this point. If you have a better portion of the country against you then you're screwed.
I don't know that Bush has the well being of the US in his heart anymore, and I am sad to say that. I don't know if he has the best intentions and that the road to hell is being paved with them.
I'm just hanging on to something secure and waiting for the elections.
I think folks just want a few more potshots before the man can escape the office.

I don't think people really know how senators, State Rep. and congressmen/women will add addendum's onto a bill that is really off the wall to keep their special interests happy, they just know the President comes off as ignorant about certain things. I think people underestimated Bush, he may seem a little *** backwards but he went from an owner of a baseball team to running the country..... come on? He knew the right people to have in his corner. ...The American people do need to be properly informed about how corrupt the system is....we need reform, more checks and balances for politicians.

Congress is the most corrupt part of our government, it always has been and always will be, and there are too many people who vote based on emotions verses a good solid decision, i don't believe any candidate is a good one until one day we have one in office who will start making good decisions for the good of the citizens and the service men and women of our country, all they do is manipulate the system and the people, that's what the definition of politician should be.

We know exactly what you mean . Look at 'itchy' right above me. . . obviously a lemming suffering from BDS - Bush Derangement Syndrome . Hate Hate Hate . And more Hate simply to Hate again . No logic , just twisted 'facts' to suit furthering the cause of the Haters . I'm willing to bet anything that after the elections. . . maybe weeks or months later , you will see some doctors / psychiatrists say that BDS is real and many need to seek 'help' .

And btw , . . . . . HATRED BLOCKS RATIONAL THOUGHT . And that cannot be disputed !!

A little of both I would say. Some get totally irrational about their beliefs. One can get a good laugh on occasion.

Yes, I understand why Bush vetoed the extra money. It was very simple. Congress wanted to add to the SCHIP enough funds to cover children that their parents could afford health ins. We still have the SCHIP program but it is for the poor, not for people making $80,000. a year.
Sorry to say but the Dems have a habit of spending OUR money frivolously.
Then of course the add on's was another reason.

I watched a small part of the debate last night and it is again chilling the way a basic program that was designed to assist a specific segment of the population explodes into a free-wheeling entitlement program. This is a perfect example of an arrogance of power; and to use kids as a political football to serve special interests is borderline criminal.

Fact- Bush did not veto one Repiglican congress pork barrel bill.

Fact= Bush ignored repeated warnings that the United States were about to be attacked, leaving thousands of children without a parent.

Fact= Bush has failed his oath to uphold and protect the Constitution of the United States of America, effectively flushing the rights of every child in the USA down the toilet.

Fact= Bush's "No Child Left Behind" is an utter catastrophe thanks to the fact that it is an unfunded mandate that has effectively protracted the stratification of education in this nation.

Fact= Bush's no crony left behind tax strategy has guaranteed that the children of this nation will be saddled and ridden like carnival ponies by the International Corporate Fascists for generations to come.

Fact= Bush's criminal negligence of his Constitutional responsibility as Commander In Chief has led to 100s of thousands of children being killed or maimed in the world. It has led to 10s of thousands of American children's loss of a parent through death or grave head injury.

Fact- Bush is a blood thirsty mommy's boy. We the People are his army men.

No more. No less.

Bush vetoed the bill because he knew that I don't want to pay for OTHER PEOPLE'S CHILDREN'S health care. Pure and simple. That's exactly why I continue to vote Republican.

He doesn't hate children. I don't hate children. WE JUST DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR THEM WHEN THEY'RE NOT OURS.

It takes a village. NOT.
