Before time was measured in seconds, minutes, and hours were there any other forms of time measurement?

Apparently the first people to subdivide time where the Egyptians around 2000bc.
So were there forms of time measurement that sprung up throughout history that have since died out, or did all time measurement spread across the world from Egypt?

If all other important requirements are met (such as height/reach, language/communication, age, educational, physical, etc.) but I don't have perfect vision ("20/20 eyesight"), can I still apply as or become a flight attendant for a major airline? Is it really required? I wear clear contact lenses that enable me to see clearly. Is this OK?

Isn't this very undemocratic? I, for one, would like more involvement as a citizen in our government and to have less party loyalty in Parliament. Once a PM is in power, he or she will have full power that is virtually unchecked because all bills will pass without a problem.

And some of the seats in the House of Lord are still hereditary which I object to.

i have a 1998 oldsmobile intrique. the other day the power steering went out.. it started making some noise when i would turn the wheel then all at once it quit working completely..
i checked the fluid level and it was really low. refilled it, took it down the road and it felt like it tried to work for about 2 minutes then it went out again. when i checked the fluid this time it was just as low as the first time but when i removed the cap it was like it had pressure to it. it sounded like when you open a bottle of pop with the air pressure being released. and the fluid was all foamy. do i have a leak or is my pump going out???? please help, i drive this car 65 miles one way to work and it sucks driving it without power steering..

Are they usually right? There is this guy I work with that seems okay, but there is something that REALLY bothers me about him. I don't have any reason to not like him, I just don't. My daughter has a small tear in her anus, and her poo is apparently too solid, which makes her tear even worse everytime she goes. Because of this, I can't get her clean, she's dry, but refuses to poo in the toilet. She's already on Lactulose in mornings and Senna at night, has anyone got any suggestions that may help. Sticker charts don't work, I've tried sitting next to her, and warm baths help, but as soon as I put her on the toilet, she stops herself and starts crying. It's not a tantrum, she is truly upset.
