i think the best wrestlers in history were better heels than faces such as:
1. Rock
2. Austin
3. HHH
4. HBK
5. Hogan
6. Savage
7. John Cena
8. Kane
9. Undertaker
10. Kurt Angle

I'll agree with some of these:
Rock: He was great as a heel, good wrestler and his mic skills really threw him over. I think it was him being a heel that actually made his name so big.
Austin: Apparently, Austin was a poor heel. It was so poor that him being a heel made him a hero. That's how bad he was at being a bad guy. Quite ironic in his case.
HHH: The perfect bad guy. I'll agree that I can never see Hunter being a face. Being a heel made him who he is.
HBK: I agree totally there. Bret Hart was #1 bad guy in the company and World Champion. Shawn Michaels was so good at being the bad guy that he forced Hart to turn face. No wrestler, before Bret Hart, turned from being a heel world Champion to a face world champion without losing the belt.
Hogan: I disagree here. He was raised and created as to be a face. From 1983 to 1996, Hulk Hogan was a face and the biggest name in wrestling. The only thing that made him such a great heel was the shock of him doing the unthinkable. Hogan could never have gotten to where he is as a heel. He did make a great bad guy, but that was only because of the amazing hero he was.
Savage: You could go either way there. Savage, may have been world champion as both, but he was never able to successfully pull it off as #1 hero or villain.
Cena: I disagree, he's got a hero's face. but I don't really like him either way.
Kane: I agree. The mask made him look villainous. He was only made a face out of pitty, practically the only way to get aheel like him to turn. However the only reason he was the #1 heel (If only for a moment) was to keep the gimmick alive. All Kane's previous gimmicks sucked, so he had to become world champon to not end up just like Isaac Yankum or New Diesel or Underfaker or Black Night or Nailz.
Undertaker: I agree. He won his first world championship as a heel and it was just 1 year after his WWF debut. Stealing your opponents souls is a gimmick good enough for anybody to be heel. The Ministry, as well, proved that he could lead undercard heels. However having mideons is a good way to put one over as a heel.
Angle: I think he makes a better face. He may have won his first world title as a heel but he's got talent and could have done so as a face (It just would have taken longer). But the gold medels in the olymics tells you he don't take shortcuts, and so a face he should be.

kane (he is just a full out heel for me and it can't be any other way)

i am not saying that he is the best wrestler, but i wan to add brock lesnar. the guy was a full out heel and dominated everyone.

I like this list, dude. VERY NICE! However, Shawn Michaels and Macho Man are pretty good as faces and heels moreso than anyone else. I would have them last on the list, but every other guy is right on the money.
