I would suggest one that has at least a dvd burner, dual core processor, 100 gigabyte hard drive, 128 megabyte video card, bluetooth and wifi(wireless capability), bundled with a monitor if it's not a laptop, which is actually what I'd really recommend as laptop are becoming more and more powerful. But, this is just my suggestion and I don't know what kind of budget you're working with or what you need it for besides studying.

Quad middle is definitely the excellent. you may wait some days because of the fact Intel is freeing new Chips on the twenty 2nd, i believe a sparkling quad middle with quicker FSB, and clock frequencies. For Chipset dont pass with the 975X because of the fact the extra contemporary P35 is now obtainable helping DDR3 and the quicker FSB 1333.
