In his desperate efforts to show how British he is, Gordon Brown has at least never proposed a national motto.

But Lady Warsi, one of the two Muslim peers who interceded with the Sudanese government in the teddy bear case, tried yesterday to tempt Lord Hunt of Kings Heath, a junior minister in the Justice Ministry, into just such a reckless innovation. The newly-famous Lady Warsi invited Lord Hunt to give "his six words that would encapsulate this great nation".

Lord Hunt played for time by thanking Lady Warsi for her "magnificent work in Sudan", after which he said that although the Government was not in favour of a motto, it did see advantage in a "statement of values" showing "what it means to be a British citizen".

I just found a tiny hole on the top of my convertible. Is there a product to seal (fix) this little hole so it doesn't get worst. The hole is probably 4mm wide but I'm afraid It can get worst with time. Any product or special glue out there?
Thanks.

The next cycle

The Sun goes through approximately 11-year cycles that range from peak activity to quiet and back again. We are near the low point of the current cycle.

Scientists have tracked the cycles for decades but have been unable to predict when their durations and intensity.

The new model, known as the Predictive Flux-transport Dynamo Model, has simulated the strength of the past eight solar cycles extending back to the early 1900s with 98 percent accuracy.

Using the model, researchers predict that the next solar cycle, known as Cycle 24, will produce sunspots across an area slightly larger than 2.5 percent of the visible surface of the Sun. They also expect that the cycle will begin in late 2007 or early 2008--about six to 12 months later than earlier predictions--and reach its peak in 2012.

You are the general manager of a NHL franchise. On your roster you have a veteran player who has done all that has been asked of him throughout his career. However, he has been scratched for a handful of games this season, and has lost a step or two. On top of that, he's not producing and you have a youngster down in the AHL who can be as much or even more productive at the NHL level than your underproductive vet. Do you keep the vet on the roster because of what he has meant to your team, or do you show him the door in favor of the youngster? What would you do?

I read many questions on here every day about fathers who killed their children. Do you think it's possible that these men murder because maybe they did not really want children to begin with, and were pressured by society to have them? Maybe they were not supported by their family or wife ?
Why do fathers kill? Pressure to be fathers when they have no desire? no support?

My thing is... SAY what you MEAN and MEAN what you SAY. When are women going to stop with all the indirect communication? Being a woman is not an excuse to communicate indirectly.

Women are supposed to be the BETTER communicators, but sometimes I think the opposite is true.

There is no logical excuse for saying one thing and meaning another. There is no excuse for saying I don't want something and still expecting to get it.

But the bigger question is.. why do some women do it?

Did you know that Noah's ark is a size so large that even modern day engineers cannot make a wooden boat so big?

There was one that was close to Noah's size, but even with metal reinforcements they had to constantly pump water out in order to keep it afloat!

Now that's a miracle!

Aside from all the interesting theories about why Hitler killed Jews. The bottomline is that the pope was paying for his military armaments and feeding Hitlers soldiers. The Pope paid for the equipment and supplies with a gift from his old buddy Roosevelt. Roosevelt felt it was for a righteous cause so he just borrowed the gold from Ft. Knox. Then it was paid back in silver. Then the silver disappered and America got paper. Pius never used all the gold. He tricked Hitler into the Russian winter. Now all the gold in Ft. Knox is in a vault in Vatican City in someone elses name.
