I am a Christian and I volunteer for the humane society. My pets are spoiled rotten and I am happy to admit it. They do not come before the people in the house, but they don't come last. You have to spend money on a animal to be good companion for the animal. I don't like the word pet very much. They are my companions, and they are part of my family. I think they are a gift from God and being with an animal helps to relieve the stress of life. I see them as a gift God has given me and it is my responsibility to take care of them. They are animals and people who have animal in their house learn to clean very quickly but it is a small price to pay for all the love and devotion an animal can give a person. I think whoever wrote it had a wife who loved the kids and the dog more then she liked the husband.

Sounds right to me.
I have heard of people dieing in house fires trying to save a pet.
It's just a dumb animal , not worth a human life.
I have had pets all my life.
Except the last 10 years , as much as I love animals ,I must admit I love not having them more than I love having them.

It wasn't talking about pets..You know how rap music defines dawg..that's the kind of dog they are talking about. The site seems a bit fundamental to me. I wouldn't let it bother you. Get your Bible, and a good study guide and see what YOU think.

That’s like saying God put stumbling blocks before his people. Animals are a gift from God. They bring comfort to many people…family is a gift from God, Children are gifts from God.
