There is no justification for killing a child, whatever difficulties you may be in, and no mentally stable person would consider it. We do need to increase support for single parents, both financially and emotionally, but men aren't driven to kill by the lack of it.

this absolutly disgusts me i am a 21 year old father and i learned at the age of 19 that my wife (gf at the time) was pregnant, we had used proper birth control and everything, but i guess we ended up being the exception that 1%. I was definatly not ready for a child, but as a human there is no way you can look in your childs eyes and not feel a extremely strong feeling to protect and love them. its the weirdest thing in the world but if you have a child then you will understand, sorry for the bad grammar hope this helps good luck, oh yeah fathers that kill there children are just mentally ill it has nothing too do with not wanting, and, or being pressured into fatherhood

Most men who kill children are not their natural fathers. They either are stepfathers or the mother's latest boyfriends. This could be part of the common practice among animals where they kill a female's young so they eliminate another male's progeny. That way, they can be sure their bloodlines will continue and she will go into heat again and mate with them. I just can't help but wonder if that is the subconscious reason these men do it.

Father that dont want to be fathers, are usually not. They leave. It does occasionally happen where a woman leaves, before i get slated but you cannot say that society pressures men into becoming fathers. What about women? they literally have to have a child when they become pregnant or they are considered murderers themselves. As for fathers who kill, there a mothers who kill too. Who knows why, but either way it is'nt right and there is no excuse

Being "a victim" of society does not allow for murder. Your question makes men appear as mindless droids acting only within society’s parameters. I don’t know about the men you know (or are) but most of the men I have met can think and reason for themselves and are therefore responsible for their actions. I don’t know the specific case you are talking about and I am sure there are men who are mentally incapable of knowing right from wrong in the moment of murder (whoever it is they murder) but that is for the courts to determine on a case by case basis not a sweeping generalizations that turns men into mindless legions of society pleasures.

All I can say is - if men don't want to be fathers THAT strongly then they should either use condoms, get a vasectomy, or just don't have sex with women. Nobody forced the men to have sex in the first place...Isn't that what people tell women who don't want kids? Works for men, too. Like it or not, abortion of a fetus is legal - killing children born into this world is not and men don't grow humans in their bodies.
I agree that a man shouldn't be '"pressured into fatherhood." But he IS obligated to pay his share for the child that is going to grow up fatherless. That's the very least he can do.
There's my support.

do you honestly believe what you wrote? do you not think that men have the capacity to think of options - or disappear - or just leave? If I were male I'd find this extremely insulting.
If true, what does that say about the 'fabric' of men today - that in their (apparently) pea-sized brains they can only come up with #1 - thinking they'll get away with it and #2 - think it must be a better life in prison rather than just leaving - especially considering all the "men should have a say regarding abortion" razzle-dazzle bull one sees on this site daily?

People that kill their children are sick in the head, male or female. It has nothing to do with pressure into parenthood, theres no excuses if you do something that terrible!

Hey, maybe they were. It's just as plausible for fathers as it is for mothers. Nonetheless, it doesn't justify murder.
