Consider the following procedure that purportedly finds the greatest common divisor of x and y, x>y.

FindGCD(x,y)
--If y|x return y
--Else return FindGCD(x, x mod y)

Is this procedure correct? if so, is it significantly faster or slower than Euclid's algorithm? Of not correct, why not?

I am doing my family tree and cant get any further....I have searched and searched for my ggrandfather and where he was born.....got my grand parents marriage certificate with his name on it which was in wales I know my gran was born in wales....I cant find anything there about my ggrandfather or his son my grandfather together at all......I heard he could possibly have come from ireland......I found my ggrandfather came up on the 1881 census saying he was born in I reland ..well I hope it his him....and he was in the royal navy at that time ... also the vessel he was on ....is it possible to get records or information ..which then I could find where he was born ...

I own a blu-ray DMP-BD10Ak by Panasonic. I connected HDMI cable to it and to my Tv. My Tv recognized the HDMI cable, but the blu-rau tossed up an error code saying incompatible cable. I had to look up the code in the manual. The HDMI cable setting is turned on in the Blu-Ray settings. everything should work but Blu-Ray doesnt recognize the cable. Any suggestions?

Mine…8th grade track practice, joking with the guys, I put 2 shot-puts (10 pound steel balls) in my shorts (representing monster endowment). I lost my grip and the balls pull my shorts to the ground (exposing my jock strap clad a** to the world). I pull them back up and turn to see the girls track team rolling on the track in a fit of laughter. I’m 35 now and got reminded of the day at the grocery store last week.
