Suppose a contest offers $1,000 to the person who can guess the winning four digit number. How many possibilities are there?

There are 10 women and 8 men in a club. How many different commities of 6 people can be selected from the group if equal numbers of men and women are to be on the committee?

Two marbles are drawn from a bag containing 6 white, 4 red, and 6 green marbles. Find the probability of both marbles being white.

I don't even know how to start these. It's been forever since I've done these. I know there has to be a simple way! Thanks!

On my relatively new Dell PC, www.sundayriver.com or www.sugarloaf.com come up as blank screens and say "DONE" at the bottom of the browsers. i usually use Firefox 2.0.0.11 but have gotten the same result with a recent version of stupid Internet Explorer. I suspect that "CA" security software is causing a problem. I know the sites are not down in that I have successfully tried the websites from other computers. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know... I just came to a realization a few days ago, and it's all I can think about now. How it's human nature to only take what YOU need, and everything you do benefits yourself in some way or another. I'm really sick of life right now, and am starting to hate people in general, myself included. So why should you keep living for everybody else?

A friend sewed a 100 % cotton nightgown and stored it for some months. The cotton yellowed over time and now she cannot wash or bleach this out. Anyone know how to get it white again?

alright so i know that a lot of people are going to say that low carb is SOO unhealthy and all that but listen ffirst.

i have only ever lost weight on low carb..not low calorie or fat. and i feel good when i am on it. i really just cannot manage to keep with it on a calorie/fat diet.

i really need to figure out which one to do.

i mean yes low calorie/fat is traiditional diet..and i guess its healthy.
yet i never loose weight on it.

low carb..maybe not so healthy
but i do feel good, and i do loose weight.

which one do you reccomend?
