A few years ago, I heard of a group called the Reagan Legacy Project whose mission was to ensure every U.S. county in had a street or building named after Reagan. They stuck his name on the airport in Arlington,Virginia, and a few years later forced the local transit agency to rename the adjacent Metro station. One idiot congressman from Texas wanted to name a major street in DC after Reagan, but that luckily got shot down quickly, as a Northern Virginia congressman politely pointed out there were plenty of streets in his home district to name after him.

Isn't there something rather Stalinist about naming so many things after one person? Perhaps if they didn't start naming things after him while he was still alive or so soon after his death, I wouldn't think so.

I don't want to hear about what he did--I'm well aware of his policies--but I want to know why conservatives seem to put all their eggs into the Reagan basket.

I was bored the other day, so I just started writing...but I wanna know if this sounds good or if you guys have any advice.

Run. Run! That was all I could think but my feet did nothing. I wished I could run, dreamed it. But I couldn’t. As I stared into the eyes of fastly approaching man/my capture, I knew this would not end well. I knew I had to do something, but what I didn’t even know. I inched backward and my capture inched forward, he knew I could nothing. I dash and he grabbed me. I felt a pain I had never felt before as he tightened his grip. I fought to breathe as he squeezed me like a starving boa squeezing his prey. “Please.” I gasped. With an instant he let me go and stared at me with disgust. I was weak and mad at myself for not running when I had the chance. “Foolish girl, why would I kill you when I need you?” he spat like he loathed the words coming out of his mouth. “Take me to the ___, and I might spare your life.”

Dillema that ruined my day :(?
me and bff are being very distant. i dont talk to her like i used too. we used to be the BESTEST FRIENDS ever, we were hyper and crazy. but now i say she's changed and she tells me iv changed. i have changed, i havent been as hyper. its our freshmen year and hw is loaded, i really dont have time to be hyper. i have also changed because its like iv seen her for the first time, sometimes i hate her so much just because and sometime i love her so much. instead i have become really good friends with her other bff, and now we're good friends, and we both agree that she has changed. but today on her myspace headline she wrote something that ruined my day...she wrote....

"I'd take a punch for you, but not two--its crazy messed up how ur BFFs one day and things have to turn out like that the next

"that hurt, and her bff and i were thinking that shes talking about one of us or even both. i think its me a LITTLE bit more.
i mean she can very mean sometimes and conceited and rude.

I was watching this movie called Quincenera and its about this girl who didn't have sex with a boy and she end up getting pregnant! they called it the miracle pregnancy cause she told her parents that she didnt do anything....if u seen this movie then u will know what I am talking about!

A Blonde attempt to ride a Horse…
A blonde decides to try horseback riding even though she has had no lessons or prior
experience.
She mounts the horse unassisted and the horse immediately springs into motion.
It gallops along at a steady and rhythmic pace, but the blonde begins to slip from the
saddle.
In terror, she grabs for the horse's mane, but cannot seem to get a firm grip, she tries
to throw her arms around the horse's neck, but she slides down the side of the horse
anyway.
Finally, giving up her frail grip, she leaps away from the horse to try and throw
herself to safety.
Unfortunately, her foot has become entangled in the stirrup; she is now at the mercy
of the horse's pounding hooves as her head is struck against the ground over and over.
As her head is battered against the ground, she is mere moments away from

I asked a simple question the other day - why is there fog in the winter. I received several good answers...BUT...I also got one saying something to the effect that 'Why do you want to know this - it's in God's hands'
