Actually DO lead to better actions?

I have heard several Christians say that through faith, people are led to better actions. I wonder if anyone can back this up with some numbers. Something along the lines of church attendance negatively correlated to violence or crimes.

I would like to see any evidence, not colloquialisms, that would support or reject this claim.

(And atheists, if you must cite the religious identification of people in prison, please get a statistic as to how many of them were devout before going into the joint.)

ok thers metence today...all severs are down im extrermly bored... i did my school and i need to know when matenice is done its really annoying wating like 5-10 hours fot tehm to finsh :/ and i need ot knwo what there doing cuz im not waitng 5-10 hours for a "fixed high lvl quest thats not for my class"

May 11 2008 it will be mandatory for the USA a.k.a NAU citizens to get the National Id Cards; which will be necessary to purchase gas, or groceries, or go to get your nails done, to go to the doctors, or to buy a car. It will hold all your medical, financial, and criminal information on it. Will you except this card because it will be law or will you make a stand against tyranny?

im 20 years old. have no credit. i dont have a house. im staying with family and my boyfriend. i dont have a job. i just recently lost my drivers license (no insurance). i dont have the money to get my drivers license back. and i dont have a job cause i dont have anybody that is able to take me. i also do not have a car. is there any type of loan out there for me???

My daughter was just potty trained and she still wears diapers to bed. Anyway, how do I get her to use the potty in walmart and places like that? Do I hold her over the potty or ? Anyone have any advice. I want her to be completely potty trained but I think public toilets are probably too big and have a lot of germs.

I am a member of Church of Christ. My church teaches that you have to repent and be baptized to be saved and have a home in heaven. If you mess up after you are baptized, then you must ask for forgiveness. You can do so privately unless what you did wrong was in the public eye, then you must confess before the Church. I agree with this and most of what else is taught. With the exception of people who are not Church of Christ not going to heaven. Some of the best people I know are Baptist or Methodist, if they believe in God, and he can forgive murderes, then why wouldn't he save someone that has lived the right way?

What does your church teach? Do you agree with it?

This is not a debate on whose religion is best, just a discussion I think will be interesting.

My ex husband has made no contact with our children since November of 2004. He has not made any effort to visit them or contact them in any way.
I have remarried, and my husband wants to adopt the children, and the children want him to be their REAL father, not just their step-father.
I am not even sure of where my ex is living now...it has been a long period of time since I had any contact with him. My husband and I have remained listed in the phone book (yes, he knows our names) and he know where we live...I have done this in case he wishes to contact the children. I have done everything that I can to insure that he is able to maintain contact with them but he has not. He has not sent a letter, a Christmas or birthday card, not made a phone call to the children since 2004. What can I do to terminate his parental rights and enable my husband to adopt them?
We live in Minnesota, and my ex's last known location was in PA.

I recently read a question that pointed out the similarities between Jesus Christ and some of the pre-Christ savior legends. One of the answerers of the question said that those legends are false because "Jesus was the only one sent to save us," I have seen answers like this before but I have just now decided to ask this question.

What makes you so sure that Jesus was the only one sent to "save us"? There are many savior and "good shepherd" legends that predate even the first book of the Old Testament (such as Mithras). What makes you you so sure your beliefs are right? What makes your legends and holy books any more legitimate that the countless others?
