glandular fever. please help?

Hi..some guy in my class has got glandular fever. and i was sat about a meter away from him, does this pass through the air..if so how long will it take until i notice the signs????

This infection does not spread through air - only through direct contact with saliva. You'll be fine if you wash your hands frequently and keep your hands away from your mouth. It takes about 10 days for signs of infection to show up.
