ok thers metence today...all severs are down im extrermly bored... i did my school and i need to know when matenice is done its really annoying wating like 5-10 hours fot tehm to finsh :/ and i need ot knwo what there doing cuz im not waitng 5-10 hours for a "fixed high lvl quest thats not for my class"
and i searched for news about it...all i found was old 06 threads on the board X.X ill try searching again but i really REALLY wanna play my Rogue

Just to enhance the information the other posters have presented for you, every Tuesday is maintainance day.
Sometimes they just do restarts which only require a couple of hours.
Other times they are applying server side updates or client updates (a patch we download). These generally take 6-8 hours of downtime.
If you plan on WoW not being available on Tuesday mornings, you'll be pleasently surprised when it is.

It should tell you when you try logging into the game; there is usually a message on the left side of the log-in screen that says how long it's supposed to take. Generally, maintenance lasts until noon PST. However, there is a new patch to fix some bugs, and if that's released today, it might take longer.
Go for a walk, or read a book instead.
