Yes, I read the news. The difference between you and me is that I make sure I understand it before going off half-cocked.
It had nothing to do with NASA. It was started by people who get a laugh out of making others like yourself get hot under the collar. It's like someone finding two small details on Google Earth that look similar and use it as proof that the whole of Google Earth is clearly faked.

Can you provide a source that says NASA has actually made any such accusation, or even a source that says a 'majority' of Americans believe the Apollo missions to be faked? In my experience it is a small but vocal minority who are so deluded.
[Edit] Yes, I do read the news. The accusation that China's moon picture is a fake does not come from NASA, and in any case rather overlooks that fact that, since NASA has photos of the entire lunar surface, any image from any agency is going to look about the same anyway, just like every picture of the Eiffel Tower taken from a particular location looks just like any other picture of the Eiffel Tower taken from that location.

NASA has made no such claim. That is just internet gossip started by chinese students. How ironic... A large percentage of americans believe US never landed on the moon. What happens when the chinese sends a probe to the moon? The chinese claims they never went either...

First we actually DID go to the moon 6 TIMES!
Second, no one at NASA accused them of anything-------- the wonderful media folks brought this up. Now most of them don't even know what end of a telescope to look through------- so I would not place much weight on their moon photo abilities either.

that is been a mutually as in view that i've got been on Y!A, yet thank you for posting the link to those photos, Campbelp. As you already know, i replaced right into a regularly occurring poster here to rebut the Apollo hoax fantasy. the 1st ingredient that jumped out at me replaced into how the great crater to the west of the Eagle descent degree is precisely the place that is going to likely be. I known it because of the fact i could made a assessment shot of shadows to debunk somebody on Youtube one time..... I correct between the photos I used interior the "components" section. think of that the shadow of the descent degree interior the LRO photograph of the Apollo eleven landing web site have been going left in stead of excellent, yet with regard to an identical length. The crater which would be under the shadow is the only on the left interior the out-the-window photograph i've got correct to. additionally be conscious the hill interior the gap - it is likewise good the place that is going to likely be interior the LRO photograph. (interior the annotated thumbnail photograph, the backside-left of the A in "Apollo eleven" is approximately the place the close to fringe of the hill is - view the finished-length photograph to determine a much wider view. additionally be conscious the sphere of boulders to the east, which Armstrong had to manually pilot the lander previous throughout descent) i for my section in no way doubted the landings, and that is tremendously damned conclusive info in my e book. Like others say - people who want to have faith the bunk does not exchange their minds in the event that they have been dropped on the moon and allowed to stand on the descent ranges themselves. Me, i think of the photos are outstanding, exceptionally the 14 web site the place footprints are seen!

What is really sad is that the media's appetite for continuous controversy breeds silly stories that they recklessly give air time to just to increase viewership. People have to learn that not everything you hear on the news has a foundation to it.
