I teach 6th grade reading and we're embarking upon an objective unit of winter holidays around the world. We are study 5 other holidays in addition to Christmas. We're looking at the documented history of the holidays, and will then be comparing and contrasting different countries and cultures with our own.

Several students say they are "not allowed" to be in the classroom during this time. I am, therefore, sending them to another classroom (for three weeks!!) while we work on our unit. Rather than give them pointless worksheets, I'd like to learn more about their beliefs. Do JWs take offense at this? What other types of activities are "ok" to ask of JW students?

I need some advice about what I could get my wife for Christmas.

She's never really cared about getting jewelry the whole time we have been together. I want to do something really special for her for Christmas and not just a simple gift. I want to do something very special for her that she won't forget.

My daughter has been coughing uncontrollably for one month - after seeing the doctor and being told she has a touch of broncitis but no meds given - was told it will wear it self out. Now one month later she is worst than ever with the cough so she was seen again by another doctor in same clinic and was given antibiotics (five pills) along with a new answer for her problem - pnenmonia. What gives?

Christians believe Jesus is God,Muslims refuse to define and put a definite/main name on God and Jesus is just a prophet,but not God. The Jews like the muslims dont believe Jesus is God&if my understanding is correct,their still waiting on the messiah.

Again,while all three have the same general origin,do we agree that the three do not worship the same God?

As far as I'm concerned you cant say we worship the same God if we're not in agreement on Who that God is and which text is truely His word.

did anyone else begin to have migraines with auras... symptoms very similar to a mini stoke or TIA when they got pregnant because of the change in hormones?? if so, what did you take to relieve the pain???

very scary situation, numbness in one arm... cant talk straight... seeing lights and things move in the corner of your eye..dizziness.. thank god it's just a migraine though. but yeah back to the question, what'd you do for pain? and how often did it happen to you?

I go for coffee, sometimes lunch, walks, presentations and once even shopping. Check my profile please before commenting, he is the only person that even cares about my well being, I'm married, he's married with 2 kids. I honestly appreciate everything he does and helps me with, and it's only in therapeutic ways, nothing else. So why are people hard on Cheren's question earlier?? I honestly do not see an issue, and please don't tell me to get a new therapist, that is NOT an option, our mental health clinic is down sizing in the new year, and trust me, NO ONE else wants to deal with me, let alone any one with BPD.. Am I blind? Is there even an "issue" here or am I just justifying it like I do with ALL my behaviors..??
