Don't confuse ignorance and stupidity. The two have, annoyingly, become interchangeable these days, but they have totally different meanings. Ignorance is OK and can be fixed by learning (if we didn't start from ignorance there would be no need to learn and no fun in doing so). Stupidity is a very different thing and much more difficult to fix. Are you ignorant of certain things in astronomy? Possibly, but that's easily sorted and there's nothing wrong with it. Are you stupid? I doubt it.

Don't worry about it. I did fairly poorly because I'm very poor at quantitative stuff. I know a lot about astronomy, but not the numbers/distances/etc.
Here's a much more friendly test for evaluating misconceptions about astronomy. The great thing about it is that it teachs very clearly what the correct information is, in a really constructive way:

You don't really end up with a score, but you do end up knowing a lot of things about astronomy correctly, which is more important!
[Edit] This site gives a Server Error currently, which I've reported.

I took the quiz, but when I tried to get the score it wanted me to register to "find my perfect mate" and then sign up for daily horoscopes. I consider that a scam.
But I kept track of my answers, and only had 4 wrong.
So only 19 right out of 47 means your score was only 40% - that is below average if "average" is at least 50%.

I missed 3 or 4... Cool quiz but stupid site for making you register. I even clicked the register button and it took me to a page with nothing on it...
At any rate, most people don't really know half of the stuff the test was asking about, so I wouldn't be too down on yourself. It is unfortunate though that most people are pretty ignorant when it comes to what's going on above their heads.

Seems to me you have an excellent reason to continue your curiosity and love of astronomy.
If you were an astronomy major in your 3rd year, I might question your choice of majors but it seems more likely you simply haven't explored what is known about our universe.
Keep up the curiosity!

I tried it too but I refused to register. Nothing like getting hundreds of unwanted e-mails. I kept track as I went and I missed 6 but those were mostly in KM and I am USA so I am more in tune to miles.
Some of the questions were trickey with their wording so you might have been in a hurry. Also this is pretty old because it still thinks Pluto is a planet.

No.
Yes.
I messed a bunch of them, too.
(Also, you can tell them that "one foci" is wrong--that "one focus" would be right).
