Is it possible to enlist or re-enlist in the Army with Genital Herpes. Or do they even do blood test for this. I know they test for HIV and Aids but do they or will they test for Herpes.
This is a serious question.

A cowgirl walks into a bar and orders three mugs of Bud.

She sits in the back of the room, drinking a sip out of each one in turn. When she finishes them, she comes back to the bar and orders three more.

The bartender approaches and tells the cowgirl, "You know, a mug goes flat after I draw it. It would taste better if you bought one at a time."

The cowgirl replies, "Well, you see, I have two sisters. One is in Australia, the other is in Dublin. When we all left home, we promised that we'd drink this way to remember the days when we drank together. So I'm drinking one beer for each of my sisters and one for myself." The bartender admits that this is a nice custom, and leaves it there.

The cowgirl becomes a regular in the bar, and always drinks the same way. She orders three mugs and drinks them in turn.

One day, she comes in and only orders two mugs. All the regulars take notice and fall silent. When she comes back to the bar for the second round, the bartender says, "I don't want to intrude on your grief, but I wanted to offer my condolences on your loss."

The cowgirl looks quite puzzled for a moment, then a light dawns in her eyes and she laughs. "Oh, no, everybody's just fine," she explains, "It's just that my husband and I joined the church and I had to quit drinking. Hasn't affected my sisters, though."

Prove that the decimal expression of any rational number is periodic. For this, let a/b be your rational number, with (a, b) = 1 and b belongs to N.
(a) Show that there are two different non-negative integers k > l >= 0 such that (10^k − 10^l) is a multiple of b. Hint: if (b, 10) = 1 then apply Euler’s theorem. If not, write b = b1 x b2 with (10, b1) = 1 and b2 = 2r1 x 5r2 . Apply Fermat’s little theorem to b1 and figure out what to do with b2.
(b) Say why the previous part implies periodicity of the decimal expression. What can you say about the period?
(c) The decimal expression is said to be pure periodic if the periodic part starts “right after the dot”. For example, 43/6 = 7.16, 1/56 = 017857142 and 2/15 = 0.06 are not pure, while 10/11 = 0.90 and 1/37 = 0.027 are pure. Show that the decimal expression of a/b is pure if and only if (10, b) = 1

I really do not get it.

Personally, since I am surrounded by religious discussion on here at least once every day - I can't help feeling this soft nudge of dread that's got to do with the Bible...

My mind tells me "Why would you want to go to hell? Why are you standing up against Christianity when it wouldn't hurt to be in it anyway? Is it really worth the risk of your soul?"

Before my heart kicks in again and I realise that standing up for what I believe in is the most important thing.

It's not the Christianity religion I'm against - it's more likely the Bible (which is foundation of structured Christianity anyway). I just don't see how it's the true words of God when the writers are no more devine or inspired than anyone else in the world.

So my question is - why does the Bible have to put everyone on a guilt trip?

Why does it spread the message of fear among non-Christians instead of the message of love? Why would people want to convert to a religion based on fear (of hell)?

This is kinda going out on a limb, but do you think there will be a political party reformation or beginnings of in the next presidential election?

My logic: The harder and harder the Dems harp on the Repubs the more and more consensus there is that Repubs really messed up. So this upcoming election the independent party and repub party may share equal votes or repubs less. The last party reformation was with the Whigs in a similar situation. What do you think?

When there's an arranged meeting or party, is it best to be on time? or the so called "fashionably late"?

I am always either on time or early, and my friends are never on time and are normally late.

I don't know which is better?
Because when I go to a party early, I feel bad if the host is still preparing (mind you by early I mean 5-10 minutes).
But I don't want to be late as I feel it might ruin any plans or schedule the host may be trying to stick to.
