I tried the egg-white trick early on in the process (a year ago) and it clarified a bit, but not enough. Any ideas on what I can use to finish it? BTW, I am a pure organic wine maker (even the egg-white was one of my organic eggs) and only in desperation will I resort to the addition of some chemicals... Help?

I recently bought a house which passed inspection during the summer but now that it's the rainy season here in NY the basement is flooding. Like 4feet of water flooding. I've noticed now that all the basement equipment: waterheater, furnace, etc are all up on blocks which are curiously just above this level. I've got 2 sump pumps running - they keep it down to about 2" now... Besides the issue of perhaps being stuck w/ a lemon - are there any remedies which i can take to fix this up? Are there any contractors in NY ( sullivan county ) anyone can reccomend?

than you need to read the books for yourself and open your eyes. judging a book by its cover again!!

just so you know
God is not killed in those books. The Authority is killed. yes he is a god figure but he is stated as being the first angel and a frail old man. not the creator of the world.
so go see the damn movie!

Mesopatamia!

Come on what about their God[s]? Maybe he was the right one i mean he did come first right? Who is to say you're right and no one else is? Why do you feel YOU'RE right and everyone else is wrong? (not saying you do feel this way but if you do and you know you do answer these questions.)

i know it sounds weird, but i think arrogance in a guy is suuuch a turn on. even if he's not right ALL the time, a guy that belives in himself and thinks others should belive in him will usually win my respect. i'm a little arrogant/confident/cocky myself somtimes, i'm usually nice no matter what, but at the end of the day, i belive in my own opinions and skills above all. i'm always supportive but rather hard to impress. i know i like arrogant men...but do guy's like this quality in girls, or is that a one way turn on. lemmmme know what you think?

Not too keen to poison them because they'll die in the walls where we can't get them. Not a good thing to do when the house is all closed up for winter....

God fills a place which -even if he DOESN'T exist- would be void without him. is it possible, then, to be spiritually content and fulfilled without God? I don't think anyone would disagree that faith helps you out in many ways in life..

I always thought I could hide my emotions really well, until lately I've realized I'm hopeless at it! How do you keep your composure and keep your emotions hidden in situations where you are very upset or irritated? Even though I have learned to keep my mouth shut, my body expressions tell all. How did you learn? Thank You.

I was in voice class today and my teacher pointed out that when I was singing I was tilting my head- It was weird because I have never done this before and it was effecting my singing.

Well my teacher said it was probably tension and to get a massage or something. So my mom was rubbing my neck and she said she felt a knot like the size of a quarter. But when she rubbed it there was a sharp pain in one spot....

Before there was no pain and now it hurts from about half way up my neck to the bottom of my jaw.

Any ideas on what it is?

I'm very hazy on what I want to major in and what I want to do with my life... however, I'm not very fond of science, or especially math, or ESPECIALLY chemistry. Chemistry actually is probably my most hated educational course that I've ever taken. I'm much more of a writer, and my teacher has always commented me on how well I write - consequently, I want to become something of a writer.

However, I'm under the impression that the only useful majors that will land you a really good job are the ones in the scientific and mathmetical fields. I hate both of them though...

What are the most useful majors that don't require much knowledge in the math or science field, and perhaps relate to my interests?

I am in high school (grade 10) and as the college-mania begins, I have been thinking a lot about the schools I might want to attend. I would love to get into a unversity like Harvard, Yale, or Stanford, or some other highly reputable school, but I'm not sure I have the kind of background that schools like that require. Here is my background:

As of now: GPA: 4.27
Extracurriculars: Debate Team, Model U.N. (position on board for this): 2 awards won, Science Olympiad: 4 awards won, Academic Competition, Spanish Club, City Youth Orchestra (I live in a pretty big city--about 1 million)

I have done a number of community service hours as of now (doing more prior to graduation), but just general things, like soup kitchens, etc.

I'm not a minority.

I'm taking 2 AP courses this year, all honors otherwise, and one English elective (I'll be taking more AP's junior and senior year).

I'm a pretty serious violinist.

Thanks! If anyone has a clue whether I'm good, thanks!
