Does anyone know any info about benjamin tolkien?

Question

JRR tolkiens grandfather. i know who his children were but anyone know who HIS father was etc?

Odd- it's not on any of the many genealogical sources I go to. All I get is the same info on everything:

He was born in Middlesex, London, in 1807
Married Jane Holmwood (1836): 4 children
Married Mary Jane Stowe (1856): 9 children
Died September 1896

Beyond that I've found a George William Tolkien born in Birmingham, W. Midlands, England, about 1780, who married Eliza Lydia Morrell (b. 1787); their sons included
William Morell Tolkien (1810-1882)
Henry Tolkien (1815-1885)
Septimus Tolkien (1826-1912)
All of the sons were born in Islington, London.

Tolkien being a very uncommon name in England (originally from the Saxon Tollkiehn, meaning 'foolhardy' or 'recklessly brave') I've little or no doubt that George and J. Benjamin were related- perhaps even father and son- but I can't find any proof of that.
