My boyfriend and I are raising his boys.
Boys mom picked up and ran off years ago,
Boys mom talks to boys almost everyday and takes them to school every once in awhile.
Pays for nothing.

Boys need clothes, school stuff ect; (we supply)

Boys mom calls today tells me "make sure boys have clothes I taking them to get a family portrait"

What makes me mad is DONT you think underwear or socks would have been better??????

Time with mom is important too?

Child support is not an answer.

She let him keep the house in lue of support so she feels shes paid (hes owned home 18 years yes before her)

Sue her for child support.

Apply for Work First at Social Services. You may be able to get about $236/mo. (in NC) for 2 children.

I helped a family in a situation similar to yours and they were approved. Good luck.

No i wouldn't be mad... i'd realize some people are pathetic and i can't change them.. then, i'd go on with my own life....

If she wants them to dress nicely, then she can take them shopping before the portrait... it's simple as that... you don't have to say a word or send special clothes if you do not feel like it.

Don't let her affect your emotions... it's not worth the stress.

Wow we pay about 5 a month,But you can't keep the kids from their Mother. It sucks but she is their mother.Me and my husband have been trying to get custody of his son.And no matter what I would never keep him away from his mother.Even tho I can't stand her.We are the adults so just don't let the children hear or see anything that not for lil ears and eyes.

I agree with the child support thing. If you don't live with your child than you should help pay for the things that your child may need.

Yes, I'd be mad! Doesn't she have to pay child support? I wouldn't let her have visitation otherwise!
