I was in voice class today and my teacher pointed out that when I was singing I was tilting my head- It was weird because I have never done this before and it was effecting my singing.

Well my teacher said it was probably tension and to get a massage or something. So my mom was rubbing my neck and she said she felt a knot like the size of a quarter. But when she rubbed it there was a sharp pain in one spot....

Before there was no pain and now it hurts from about half way up my neck to the bottom of my jaw.

Any ideas on what it is?

I would have this checked out for sure but, I wouldn't get to hyped over it, it isn't as serious as one says. You have spurs that stick out, I had several cut off due to overgrowth and problems with them hitting other sprus and "knocking" making noises.
You may also have a slipped disc that needs mending, or a stenosis, a spot where the vertebrae slips into the spinal canal and puts pressure on the cord.
Whet ever it is stop what you doing and have it looked at.

May want to check some of the other lymph nodes. Sounds a bit like you have a pretty good infection started somewhere above that lump. This can be easily determined with a wbc. The tilting of the head suggests you are experiencing a sub-acute state. It has not yet got to the painful stage. Thus being a sub-conscious response. I would heartily recommend you get this checked out soon. Before it progresses.
